Superman seeks out a werewolf who he think has committed murder, only to find five other werewolves who are the true culprits.

And the last Earth-1 story for this title was written by Marv Wolfman, who will take over the title on issue #424 (re-titled Adventures of Superman). Funny enough, it’s about a were-wolf.

The story is quite simple, and I assume that Superman was cured from the lycantropy with electricity (even though he didn’t seem to experience side effects).

At this point, I am not expecting major plots or revelations. The Superman team knew it was over and there was no more time to do anything. So at least in this title all we got was the end of Superman and Mxyzptlk rivalry, and over at DC Comics Presents we got the actual end of Metropolis. These stories are canon.

I still have one annual to read (plus another issue of Action Comics). Maybe other plots will close. But the one plot we always cared about, Superman’s romantic interests... is going to be a loose end (unless you take that last imaginary story as your version of the end).
