It was the day of the big game and Luca had been working so hard for this one night. When he was a freshman, he never would’ve thought football would become such an important aspect in his life. But now he was a senior and the star quarterback of the school. He built a name for himself and had a lot of people depending on him tonight. He was walking onto the field from the locker room. A strong grip held onto his helmet and he toyed with his mouth guard between his teeth. As the team walked on, the crowd began to roar. Seeing people cheer for his team made him both excited and nervous. Eventually, he saw the cheerleaders wearing the team’s jerseys. Every guy started to pick out which girl had their number. When Luca finally found his, he saw an unfamiliar girl. She was facing the other way and that didn’t stop him from walking up behind her to say, “That’s my number.”
