Hi! Can I ask something? What's the difference between Lunsentrio and Lunsenring? I know that Lunsentrio is the band itself composed by Nick, Sebastian and Hank and Lusenring did some teather/music presentations and have a LP but sometimes they/you sign as one or another. It's something more related with the Munich musical scene itself? Trying to make a post here for the website but I still have many doubts ahahah +
Hi! Thanks for the lovely question! I’ll try to be as clear as possible with this. (I hope you don’t mind if I post this publicly, it’s such a good one.You are right, by the way. Lunsentrio is the three guys. Lunsenring was the appellation for the theatrical version. However, even the band members tend to mix it up themselves, as nobody quite agrees what is Lunsenring anymore - some say it’s a vibe, some say it’s a lineup. For example, when Tagar and Albert Pöschl (and the team of dancers) joined for the Kammerspiele event last week, it was still called Lunsentrio. But when we reorganized the Peace & Noise evening at Watzart on Sunday, Ras Hank named it Lunsenring on the last-minute poster they did. It actually leads to some discussions between the musicians, and one of the final words that was exchanged was “well, if there is no flute it’s not Lunsenring.” But then again, sometimes there’s flute and it’s advertised as Lunsentrio. XD
So basically, the best answer is to do what everybody in the Munich Scene does : go with the flow, have a cold beer or something else, and sing along! :-D
