It took about 15 days in my case. It didn’t help that I was also having muscle spasms. I gave up for the holidays, and am trying to goad myself back into what I’m supposed to be eating now. It’s kind of working.

Well, shit.  I’m at least six months past that. :/

Go find a vet, Charlie! There are several who will fix a cat for cheap or free.

yep! he was a little scared at first (she scratched him when they first met) but now he’s just curious! bucky is not aggressive at all towards cats (at least not while they are under the same roof; cats on the street when we go for a walk are a whole other story. 

lucy is teeerrified tho. i’m doing the isolation thing and keeping her in my room for now because she’s very afraid of dogs and the house in general. i tried letting her know the house but she just hides, so i’m gonna give her more time to adjust to my room and then just let her adjust to one room at a time (while the dogs aren’t around). i’m also gonna grab a towel or something i can rub all over bucky and sasha (my other older doberman who mostly doesn’t give a flying shit about the cat as long as it doesn’t take my father’s attention) and leave it around lucy. 

i mean, it’s not all bad. she’s only been her a two days and she went from hiding every time she even heard a paw touching the floor outside my room to just staring (and lowkey hissing) when bucky accidentally came into my room. 

i’m sad for bucky because i miss him terribly but luckily i’d stopped sleeping with him a while ago because of my back so it’s mostly not much of a change to him. i’m trying to cuddle him and give him treats whenever i can because my soul is heavy with guilt.
