i've taken some inspiration from chapter 10.5 of the manga, because i like that julius' hair looks kinda floofy when it's not slicked back... so i think she'd have similarly fluffy hair. here are some teeny tiny sketches but none of them feel quite right so far lmao π
eye color π€π€π€ i picture either something blueish or dark grayish, or just black maybe... though i feel like i lean more towards a brighter blue? kinda just like the color used in julius' chromatus form and his tie. it's also pretty much the same color as the butterfly on elle's hat (as well as ludger's feather charm but that's a little less relevant fdskjgskh). basically i think it'd be fun if there was something in cornelia's palette that is shared with both elle's and julius' (because she's his mom and she was also a key), and i think that blue would be very striking for her eye color :3

oh gosh, bear with me xD i'm bad at explaining
basically it goes like this? i've got two examples here. for ashley, everything was on one layer, and then i added some lines on top afterwards
(putting more info about the brush itself/menus/gradient maps under a cut because it's a bit much lmao,,)
i use Clip Studio Paint PRO Ver. 3.0 for all my art, and i believe this specific brush i used here is one of the default brushes that comes with the program.
i use this brush often for some soft lighting on characters, or just to make backgrounds less empty, especially if i'm drawing in a manga/comic style, something with a limited color palette and a focus on lineart. but it can also be a fun texture on colored works too! literally whatever :3 sometimes it feels nicer (imo) to use something like this compared to just a soft airbrush
to find this, you'd go to: [Sub Tool Decoration] -> [Hatching and Sand Pattern] -> [Sand *soft* A]
if you maybe already use CSP but don't know where this sub tool menu is (and if you use a custom workspace like me), here's the easiest way for me to show where it is lol. go through: [Window] -> [Workspace] -> [Reset to Default] - and then it will be there as shown on the left.
if you don't use CSP (and/or if i'm wrong about it being a default brush π), you could probably find a similar brush on the CSP asset store or wherever you can get custom brushes for your chosen art program! i'd suggest looking up terms like 'manga', 'hatching', or 'sand', maybe, for something closer to this exact texture?
i use gradient maps just for an extra touch and a splash of color. you can do a lot of cool stuff with them! or with any of these correction layers, for that matter. they're all basically filters

for the highlights in particular (which is why i'm talking about the gradients at all lmfao), i think these layers add a cool effect that would be harder to create manually! it's also just fun to play around with these effects in general to see how it can change the thing you just drew. the original drawing used colors closer to her in-game palette, but then i went "myehhh let's see what all i can slap on top of this" xD
you can create these gradients in CSP yourself using whichever colors you want, or you can download gradient map packs from the asset store! i'm unsure if other programs have this exact feature π but if nothing else, you could also use other photo editing apps to do something similar (i sometimes use the LINE Camera app on my phone to add filters or cute frames/stickers to my drawings!)
and uhmmm. i think that's it! sorry i think i went in too much detail here, perhaps π there's other ways you could go about all this, but this is just how i did it!

i interpret this as being about doomed relationships, though not necessarily toxic or unrequited, and maybe not even necessarily JUST romantic? (in my head, anyway). just something that definitely isn't going to last, or won't really go anywhere, or at least, something that won't have an entirely happy ending. it's like knowing you're losing someone/something, or maybe feeling powerless to do anything but watch and hope things don't go a certain way. but you still hold onto your feelings til the end, patiently waiting for it to be over and to let whatever happen, happen. anyway i kinda loosely associate this song with minedai and badendyurirudospecifically
