Can I help you? The sign outside clearly says closed and I have about a weeks worth of work to get done before New Years eve.
“Well, I can offer some help if you want it. I was just stopping in to see how you were.”

“I’m pregnant,” she finally stated, waiting tentatively for his reaction. He was alarmingly silent and for a moment she thought he was in shock. “Leone, did you hear me?”
“Huh?” he remarked distractedly, looking up from the joint he was rolling to give her a piece of his attention.

“Sorry but, what was your name again?”
“Oh for fuck’s sake—”
