What is your character’s favorite holiday?

- Dexter’s is probably Christmas. It was one of the days he constantly looked forward to in the Vault; and nowadays he spends his Christmases by giving resources to other people that need them around the Commonwealth (or Mojave; depends on what point in the timeline we’re talking)

- Dyce fucking loves Halloween. She has a secret stash of armor and weapons from people she’s killed that she can use as costumes (or costume materials). She helps the others make disguises and costumes to do their own thing in. This one’s FO4-specific but one time she threw a bedsheet over Codsworth and he totally played along.

- Lumen’s favourite holiday isn’t one celebrated by everyone else, but it’s more of a family holiday, the day he came home and helped find a new home for Arroyo. Nobody’s exactly sure what day it is, or even what happened when they found the new place, but it’s a tradition passed from Lumen, to his daughter Clementine, to her daughter Olivia... to whatever child she may bring forth.

Ize! Surprise motherfuckers not all of these are gonna be the Fallout Boys (heho)

admittedly i can’t think of too much for him BUT i’ll put his backstory here bc im gay and it ties into Eli’s story too

ize grew up in germany sure but he came to america mainly to be an actual doctor, if a little haphazard with his practices - He never actually got his medical license, opting to do back-alley treatments in safe (albeit strange and somewhat reckless) procedures. Most people in the city loved him, being thankful someone was keeping out for the homeless in the city (+ the people who just Couldn't afford a regular doctor.) He did all sorts of things, with a... surprisingly low mortality rate. Sure, there was the occasional stolen spine and nobody dares mention Goopy Kyle, but all in all he came to be known as an underground angel, even donning a costume to match his new moniker.

One of his frequent customers was Melly, a poor (but hardy) woman. She didn't have much money, but she certainly had plenty of issues.... and non-issues, and it was through Ize that she met Jacques... and became pregnant! Ize helped her throughout the entire pregnancy, even stopping someone else's amputation to help her give birth. (He has priorities; they might not be the BEST ones but he has them). Sadly, it was one mishap he wouldn't forget. One wrong move, one misstep... and out came the baby, but the mother wasn't around to hold him anymore.

Jacques didn't even show up until an hour later, seeing the baby and asking Ize to help take care of the boy... before leaving without his (still nameless!) son.

so Ize named him, and eventually shied away from the ghettos and slums that had made him a legend... He needed to keep his child safe; his willingness to drop everything and help someone close to him would hurt more than help.

As Eli grew, Ize eventually became fascinated with the medical field again, never truly giving up on his back-alley hospitality - so when the recruiters came around, he was more than happy to sign up; Eli on his back, they traveled south toward the Badlands, and made their new home... somewhere(?) near Teufort. Eli didn't have many friends, and was largely homeschooled, but Ize did his best to make life comfortable for him and his... his son! This was his son! Ize hadn't finally let it click, always saying to himself that Jacques would be back... but he knew Jacques. Jacques' only liked the responsibility of stabbing people and running away.

Eventually, Ize ended up as part of BLU, their new medic after their old one had.... a mishap. Eli stayed at home mostly, now able to take care of himself - and when he came of age, Ize offered him a spot in BLU's training program; to prepare him to be the next merc on BLU, should one of their current ones die.
