Ignoring the fact that I don’t really like Erza, I think having them together holds both of them back from growing as characters. Jellal is too focused on trying to ‘atone’ for his sins against her, and Erza has too much of a savior complex to leave Jellal alone. I think they’re better as separate characters

1-GRUVIA

Yukino kind of features as a mirror of Lucy for Sabertooth, genuinely a badass and powerful wizard but still overshadowed by the more chaotic or outspoken members. Yukino being so low-energy and polite means Lucy much enjoys her time spent with her and often chills with Yukino when she needs to get away from the chaos of Fairy Tail.

The best way I know how to describe the synergy between Lucy Heartfilia and Yukino Agria is that, if you asked their favorite Legend of Zelda character, Yukino would say Zelda and Lucy would say Tetra. They are frequently on the same wavelength and get each other in ways that surprise them both constantly. (another good analogy is: Yukino is the Vivian to Lucy's Goombella).

Yukino has always believed herself to be followed by misfortune, and this contrasts her greatly with Lucy, who was named for luck and considered very privileged growing up. This is not lost on Yukino who often refers to Lucy as lucky (and when they start dating, she becomes her 'lucky charm').

Lucy is like. Fully Unlocked Lesbian when she sees Yukino just chilling, like. The cute haircut? The blue rose? The feathers? She's gotta wife that girl up immediately.

Yukino has like 5 million potential suitors because she's a cute girl and this is Fairy Tail, but guess what? Not a single one of them measures up to Lucy, whose name is oh-so-famous in the realm of the celestial spirits. Everybody at Fairy Tail gawks that Lucy's oft-failing seduction tactics work with 100% effectiveness on Yukino.

Lucy, who has always bore a lot of respect for celestial spirits in the first place, still manages to kind of re-learn how mystic and powerful and awe-inspiring they are through Yukino. And by that I mean she damn near shat herself when she saw Ophiuchus for the first time. And the second time. And the third time.

Lucy does not let anyone even think of beefing with Yukino. You wanna look at her girlfriend the wrong way, prepare to be taught new definitions of the word "humbled".

Lucy and Yukino are the kind of girls to collaboratively decorate literally everything they own. Everything will be doodled on with scented marker and sprayed with strawberry perfume, among infinite other possible permutations to give their personal property their own touches.
