Luke Week Day 1: Personality Traits
Luke Skywalker’s Mischaracterizations: Whininess & Femininity
Is Luke whiny? The internet seems to think so.
Sure, Luke has a lot of questions in A New Hope, and this is the movie he gets the most “whiny” allegations. At the risk of preaching to the choir, I think the main reason for this is that casual fans fail to look at the bigger picture by ignoring the concepts of narrative structure and character development. They fail to ask critical questions such as, how does his characterization change throughout the original trilogy? What are the in-universe explanations for these changes? What is Luke “whining” about? Why do his ‘complaints’ bother people? What does this behavior say about his character?

Dinluke PJO AU/Camp Half Blood AU
Din’s father is Ares…because duh.
His mother dies due to an attack on their city. He has to contend with being the child of war when his mother was killed due to a war and all that because…..angstttt.
Luke and Leia are children of Zeus. Because…absent powerful dad.
Their mom dies in childbirth because Hera (the goddess of childbirth) and jealousy. They are separated and brought to different families.
Leia goes to live with a congressman and a lawyer in manhattan and Luke goes to a small town farmer and his wife in Nebraska.
Leia comes to camp years before Luke and is never claimed.
One day Luke arrives being chased by monsters with his Protector (Obi Wan Kenobi) in the local pot dealers (Han Solo’s) van (the millinium falcon) with a huge Bernese Mountain Dog (Chewie) in the back.
It’s Leia who saves them. Not before Obi-Wan is killed, of course. Han is found to be a mortal that can see through the mist.
It’s only after a long and dramatic quest that they realize that they are twins and they are finally both claimed by their father.
One day, years later, a mysterious older boy is brought to camp. A sixteen-year-old with a criminal record, bloody knuckles, and dark eyes is led to Cabin 5. Luke is smitten but tries to hide it.
Din can’t believe such a kid would ever want to leave valuables around someone like him, much less be his friend.
A quest or two makes them fall in love dramatically.
Din would do anything for his pretty blond demigod (electric flying) boyfriend. And Luke would move mountains for his handsome brave demigod knight boyfriend.

Luke Week Day Four: Heritage And Relationships
Sorry, this will be a little bit short, I’ve been busy lately.
To Leia, Luke is a great friend and teammate, and later the best brother she could have asked for.
To Han, Luke is his best friend who improved his life and saved him when he needed it.
To Ben, Luke is a really supportive uncle and a well-loved member of his family.
To Vader, Luke is still the enemy, but he can’t stop thinking about how things could have been different, and so, to Anakin, Luke is the son he always loved, even before he knew he existed.
To Padme, Luke would have been her wonderful son, loved beyond measure.
To Owen and Beru, Luke is like a son, and they will do anything to keep him safe.
To Obi-Wan, Luke is the boy who must be protected, who is just like his father in the best way possible, and who provided a redeeming chance to train a future Jedi.
To Yoda, Luke is just one of the Jedi he’s known… but different somehow. The Last Jedi, and the Jedi who saved the galaxy, redeeming the Chosen One.
To the Empire, Luke is the number one enemy, but they have a reluctant respect for him and his accomplishments… and so does Vader apparently, as this is the only Rebel who must be brought in alive.
To the other Rebels, Luke is an inspiration, a Jedi who saved them multiple times, and a great leader and friend.
To the past Jedi, Luke is the successor to their Order… and they couldn’t have wished for a better one.
