Marinette, dragging her suitcase behind her, looked back. Luka wished he had a camera the moment her eyes lit up with realization. "Luka!" She dropped her keys and her bag, instead choosing to rush up to him. He held out his arms, bracing himself for the moment they collided. She still smelled like her favorite floral perfume, even though it had faded with her day of travel. Marinette pulled back first, her eyes still sparkling. "I thought you weren't getting home until tomorrow afternoon!"

"Jagged pulled some strings," he admitted, remembering the near-terrified look of the desk clerk at the airport. Not because Jagged Stone was a jerk, never, but because of the sheer energy his bio father had. "He heard you were getting home from New York and thought it would be a nice surprise."

"Oh, it is!" Marinette pulled away, except for the hand in his. She managed to grab her keys and pulled him up slightly to open the door to their home.

Luka pulled away to flick on the lights. The sight of their home, with its pastel blue walls decorated with posters and a white wood floor, made him melt, almost as much as the sight of Marinette in the flesh. Six months on tour had been great for his career, but gods, he had missed his bed and his girlfriend.

"I'll need to pick up the kwamis tomorrow," Marinette said, setting her luggage down. "Alya and Nino were babysitting them. So, for tonight, it's just us." She flashed him a grin that seared his soul with want…

If he wasn't so tired.

"Takeout and a movie, if we don't fall asleep?"

"Yes," Marinette sighed, her shoulders slumping with relief. "I'll go check out the house if you wanna order our usual."

Luka felt a grin form.

Ordering takeout was easy. They had a tradition by now, together and solo, of ordering from the one Italian place a few blocks away. The phone was cold under his fingers as he cradled it, typing in the number. Marinette loved their pesto gnocchi, while he was a big fan of their salmon ravioli, with a side of garlic bread. He pulled out some plates and then set to work unpacking their luggage.

Marinette came back just as he was loading up the washer. Her smile was warm. "Everything looks alright, and I put away your books and made the bed. Do you wanna jump in the shower with me before the food arrives?" Her cheeks flushed pink a little bit at the offer, even though they had been dating for years. It was adorable.

"Alright."

The shower was great. Showering with Marinette was wonderful. For once, he didn't have bandmates knocking on the door or trying to get room at the sink. There was just him and her, washing each other. The smell of her body wash, cinnamon sugar, filled the air. He had missed it.

Marinette's hair clung to her skin when they stepped out, even when she dried. She had been so kind as to leave clothes for them.

Her smile when her head popped up through the collar of his shirt warmed his soul.
