Don't get me wrong, I think that the HC that adult puffballs master one Copy Ability and always stick with that one is extremely cool, but I just can't stop thinking about how that means that somewhere out there there's a knight that battles with the power of EXTREME HOUSECLEANING POWERS
Consider though: A puffball that has mastered the Cleaning ability that's able to suck up dark matter with a vacuum cleaner like in Luigi's Mansion.
I'm pretty sure the idea behind Wapeach is that instead of a regal, motherly figure like Peach, we'd have a spolied, bratty kid who bosses everyone around her. According to the creator, she would've had a scary personality when angry and treat Wario and Waluigi like her minions. Maybe if she was approved we could've seen more crazy and deranged expression from her that would've favored her design a lot more that a piece of concept art and a t-pose model
I will agree that I might've felt more endeared to the character if allowed to see her in action. Maybe she would've looked cool– maybe she would've been so utterly unhinged it made up for everything else– IDK. @nuttytyphooncrown went into some detail about the history of Wario and Waluigi and what inspired the design for Wa Peach, which cleared things up a little as to why she looks the way she does. The biggest surprise to me is that Boshi is named Washi in the original Japanese (as in Wa Yoshi), and he's got a punk rock aesthetic similar to Wa Peach.
So while I would prefer that Wa Peach look similar to Wario and Waluigi, I can now at least see where the design came from and what inspired it.
