From the second the other’s gaze shifted to one of judgment, Artemis prepared herself for Sadiya’s loving truth. And her friend did not disappoint. A soft chuckle shook the alien’s shoulders before unashamed laughter hit the air. “First of all, do not judge me. You don’t even know the full story yet.” Granted, Atermis left all of that out for the sake of getting the other’s attention. “Look, I went shopping and saw these cute little bite-sized desserts. Well, turns out the little macarons were not chocolate like I thought, they were soap. I was highly upset and had half a mind to blow up the damn store. Thankfully I only had one bite before realizing the error of my ways and spitting that awful shit out.” She rambled while tinkering with her personal robotic friend. “What is it with Earthlings and their weird obsession with unedible food shaped things!?”

“I don’t think it’s that serious, it just-- it kind of smells like someone is having like, a barbecue close by, not like a fire kind of fire-, I’m not sure if that makes sense.” Ayeon shook her head a bit, shoulders shrugging. “Sorry, I thought you’d noticed, too. I don’t think there’s a reason to worry just yet... but if you feel unsafe, we could leave.”
