Given that itâs been a while since I posted Seon Stuff and that our 22nd session will finally happen this coming Wednesday(Funny enough, the 22nd day), I wanted to do a thing to commemorate. Tried drawing my Tiefling Fighter in a slightly different way than usual, just the line work and eye coloring *dab*
Also figured itâd be good, given that with how dark his hair is, itâs hard to see how it works. Itâs been about 69 days since the party met and Luctanâs hairâs grown out some from the side cut heâs had since session 1 of the game. Technically speaking, he hadnât shaved since, but because of his Ring Of Disguise, Luck always looked like he shaves behind everyoneâs backs~
Also, yeah, little detail I often forget to add is Luckâs little ear scar from years back in his story, when he took his earrings off to add to the making of his Greatsword. It was initially an accidental artistic thing about his ears that I never bothered fixing. But I decided to run with it, since it kind of gives him some more character?
Heâs gotten buffer since his first appearance, all thanks to @friendlyneighborhoodskeletonâs Goblin Barbarian Burk, who gave him some training, while the party was in the latter half of their journey to Crystalgate.
Also this is a bit of a preview to Luckâs next coming armor. So excited for that, this coming week.

Seon Adventures Episode 18: Welcome To Crystalgate
Following the month long journey from Menum to Crystalgate, full of peryls and wonders, our daring heroes find ourselves taking shelter under the roof of the Crusty Challice Inn. A shady tavern of sorts.
Possibly a fitting moment for the party to roll for either Stealth or Sleight of Hand, because by the time we get rooms, Belli finds herself 40 gold coins short.
Apart of that unfortunate circumstance, the party generally have themselves a well earned sleep. Sort of. Now that I think about it, the baby, Rimefang and the animals have the best sleep, as the straw and wooden frames were hell for the sleepers.
Personal shenanigans aside, by morning time, once weâre together again, everyone agrees to get grub once theyâre properly inside the city, as opposed the outskirts of the walls.
Once inside, the party admire the view of the different shapes and sizes of buildings and a variety of people coming and going, following their own path in life. Immediatelly their eyes go to the blue section of town, walled off from the rest, guards protecting it.
Approaching them, the 6 quickly learn from the half elven guard that this is where the people of importance generally live. The rich people district, as it were. Cluing the party in on one of the jobs they are to perform in town, a personal quest for Nelatha, the half-elven bard, whomst clearly was being sought out by dangerous people, if the dead messenger was anything to go by.
The Charisma Duo of Belli and Luctan persuade the woman that they are up to good work and are allowed by the two to walk on in. Prestidigitation is cast. As the party walk, Belli shares a look with Amelia, regarding the lady guard, which makes the blue Air Genasi flustered from the notion and possibility.
Until everyone has to pop the breaks, since they didnât know the exact directions for Nelathaâs house. A quick run back and forth by Amelia, with questions asked and directions pointed fixes this tragic fate from becoming all the more and it doesnât take the Cultbusters much time to get to the premises of a mansion.
Not as immense in size to the Narrahs, but still a presentable height and width to it. Shadowspire Mannor. Adress of one N. Braville. Itâs a traditional manor house with fancy green stained windows. For the aesthetic.
Luctan approaches the door to knock. (Insert ooc conversation, where we joke how it would be funny, since Luctanâs carrying a baby, that this is him delivering a baby to Nelâs. â You have just won a baby. Congratulations. Iâm the stork. â)
Stepping at the rug, wind chime make sounds from his approach. Shuffling behind the door and the one, who comes to the door is a human woman with blonde hair and cheekbones strong enough to kill a man. Older woman, around Ameliaâs height. Bags under her eyes.
Pretty soon introductions and explanations are made. This is Norra, mother of Nelatha, if the family resemblence wasnât a hint enough.
We are welcomed inside as Amelia hands the letter due to mass confusion. âNEL! COME QUICK! WEâVE GOT GUESTS!â
This is definitely a shoes off house. And it reminds Ficus of his and Belliâs auntie. The group are lead into the front room by the overwhelmed woman. Not exactly a sofa living room, but fancy chairs with high up backs certainly make a change to things. There are tables, as well as an ostentatuous fireplace in the corner.
Not even noticing the half-elven woman next to the flames, Mournimar sits in a non-heterosexual way in one of the chairs. Again, Nel is sat at the fireplace. Looking not surprised, expectant, actually. We discuss how we got here. A wild ride, for sure.
Luctan nudges Amelia to approach the Half Elven Bard, regarding the letter. And Belli chimes in, as well. âGive it to her.â Which only adds to the blue girlâs flustered demeanor. It becomes pretty obvious to the rest that Nel had been scrying on everyoneâs favorite knee destroyer.
Said knee destroyer, who had passed the letter onto Nelâs mom, who was reading it elsewhere at this very moment. Yeah, the Letter was for Nel. Luctan checks with the mom, but the man rolls a 0, so nah, Insight check fail. (Luctan 0 count: 1)
Everyone proceeds to just reminisse, now that they were together again. You and Ames should go on a date.â Belli states and Nel almost chokes on her drink.
Nelâs mom walks in. âI beg your pardon?â And Belli comes up with the lie of a âfriendship dateâ. -wink-
Pretty soon we end up having to introduce Ficus to nel and there is a recognition between the two. They had met in Sa Doma, under other names. The implications are almost the expected ones by the party.
Well.
Except for Luctan, who just winds up rolling another 0 on his Insight Check. (Luctan 0 count: 2)Â He was too distracted by the youngster in his arm nest to really notice.
Amelia: âThis is fine.â
âMake yourselves at home!â, Norra speaks, before herself and Nel go to a room upstairs, for a moment, to discuss the letter and are soon followed by the Chaos Siblings (and baby), after Belli gets some of the truth out, that nothing that they suspected was the case.
Nel had tried to arrest Ficus a year prior, until she realized what his exact profession was.
While Burk finds some frozen grub for his baby dragon (âYay, food!â) Ficus tries to make peace with Amelia, with the power of Bumpkin. But alas. As the saying goes âPussy doesnât solve everything.â
Amelia ends up admiring the decour and paintings in the guest room, having hit the jackpot on baby pictures of Nel. Including one of a chubby baby Nel getting a bath. Of her and her mom growing up. All very nice and quaint. Candles around and stuff.
Luctan, distracted by the little one, again ends up rolling a 0. (Luctan 0 count: 3)Â and cannot exactly succeed on stealth. The elven child is just so enamoured with the tieflingâs hair.
There are hushed voices behind the door, where the Braville women speak.
As the kazoo Bard has a stand off with the baby, the Ranger and Fighter hear most of what gets spoken inside.
Nel wants Norah out of town, because of assassins growing bolder. But the older woman stands her ground, stubborn, like her daughter and refuses to leave so easily. They go back and forth on this subject for a while as they discuss the letter...
Until the subject of Amelia is brought up.
âYouâre not gonna listen to me. The least you could do is answer a question. How long have you known the blue one?â Information is traded between them and the mother does consede a bit. âInteresting, maybe you should go on a friendship date.â
Given the bad stealth roll by the one with the many pointy weapons and the conversation drawing to a close, everyone tries to make a sneaky escape. With everyone, but Luctan succeeding. Nelâs Insight check is too strong, at 32. (But the group totally fools her mother, okay?!)
After some shenanigans and a polite conversation about frozen foods for Rimefang, between Burk and Norra, everyone soon find themselves out of the blue District and down, across a bridge, to a place called âThe Tabernax Innâ tavern. One of the many suggested places they could visit, along side such locations as:
â EbriosusâCornerâ. in the South West. ( an underground place for the âadult life), smoking, passions and raves)
âTigerâs innâ, the Vineyard.
â Harper Streetâ for sweets.
But that doesnât matter right now. The party are too hungry to go anywhere, but the inn and any attempts to investigate, while walking are quelled for Luctan as the baby is his immediate world to protect.
There are people konked out at tables, inside. A Dark skinned Halfling woman, behind the bar. Giving a look over to the back of her room. There seems to be confetti on the floor. On the stage area there seems to be a large, very tall lute. Bellli recognizes the design. An experimental instrument. A base!
She approaches the stage and is met by the halfling woman, whom she begs to play the instrument.Â
With some help of Luctan being the hypeman for the famous Narrah, Belli gets her chance.
And with a 24 in her Performance, she rocks out like thereâs no tomorrow.
Food is on the house. Well, not on the house. On Nel.
Over breakfast the full Brittish breakfast, the group talk in honest about Nelâs problem, which she denies she needs aide with. People caught wind of Nelâs location and she had to lay low. Simple as that. Sheâs obviously Fine. In all senses of the word.
We discuss in more in detail about what went down since last they talked with Nelatha. How they parted ways with Samson, upon reaching town. About the drama in Sa Doma and the news hitting them of Gexum. Of their move to inspect the orb again and the further revelations within.Â
Luctan explains the addition of the baby and the partyâs physical condition, thanks to the Flurries along the way and the wizard, who had ambushed them at night.
Nel suggests orphanages and delivering the baby to be adopted, which brings Luctan to the thought of how he didnât even consider writing down that part as a task in Crystalgate. Some reflection is had, while Mournimar gets some pointers to visit the blacksmith Dellemak, who would give a discount, if the tiefling mentioned he was a friend of âMatildaâ. She suggest he just not ask too many questions. Alternatively, for armor, the Darksbane Armyâs camp holds a smith, under the Darkest Nightsbane.
Burk is inquisitive about Nel and Noraâs names and after a few minutes of being coy, the half-elven bard assures him that their names are their names.
Once Belli gets seperated from the guitar, as itâs original performer returns from sleeping upstairs, a Firbolg named âLaurenâ...
... she joins Mournimar, Morgan, Burk and Rimefang on a walk to Dellemakâs. All the while Luctan, under the suggestion of Nel, finds the party some work from the Crystalgate Dungeons, joined by Ficus.
Pretty soon, the party are together again.
Mournimar with a new nail bat, an armor in the works and Burk? For the first time since theyâve known him, the party see the Goblin minus his armor.
Once together again, Luctan gives the group the skinny on what they can do for Crystalgate, in exchange for money. Five seperate jobs. Each promissing? Many possibly connected to the same pattern.
1. âKnight Kelvin Mountainsteel wants a job to be done, but the qualifications for said job are quite uncertain. He specifically asks to vet the people, who are to do the job for him, before he can even decide to hire them.â
2. âZiaz, Teller of Tales, slain in the Silver District. Anyone with clues to report back and can get a reward.â
3. â Dame Carzyre Venzyre Carnove Pitra, famous dancer. had called in an Issue of screaming from a nearby home, the local guards are too occupied with other work in this metropolis to answer.â
4. âLord Arwen of Elevir, Member of the âCircle of Shaksbanâ, wants help with an issue of possible high powered mage. Needs qualified people, who can handle magic users, rather than the guards.â
5. â String of Murders in the Bronze District, details inside.â
Upon the mention of murders, Mournimar canât help but think of his mother and hopes this isnât related to her or the cult. Whether that is the case or not is yet to be discovered, alas.
What catches Belliâs attention is the third job. The one of Dame Pitraâs call for aide. Belliâs heard of the dancer before. About 27 years old, the performer was/is a Fire Genasi. A fire dancer, if you will.
Short term, the group agree on what to do from here, for the day at least.
Part one: Try and convince The Darksbane Army to help out at Lake Stren and prevent the shedding of blood, the rise of a mysterious creature from beneath.
Part two: Help the Dancer.
Part three: Investigate the Keemis medalion, back at the Temple of Keemis. A curiosity that had been bothering Luctan since they found the medalion amidst the remains of one of the Flurries.
As they finish their meals and are lead to the location of the DBA, something in the skies catches their attention.
A dot at first. Then a mass. Which takes the shape of a person flying at 100mph down towards the ground.
Belli prepares herself to cast something to prevent her faaaaaaaall... Until the tiefling, herself casts Feather Fall and makes a dramatic landing. Eye catching, both in the execution and in the appearance of the Executor.
A tiefling of purple skin, red make up and bright green eyes, the acrobatic feminine figure brings attention to herself all the more with rhyming and yeet of a bouquet~!
Ashen is her name and Mysticism is her game!
Having most of everyone around in awe, by this point, Ashen smiles, throws two cards towards them and onlookers, before smashing a small gasbomb into the ground, disappearing from sight.
Upon these cards, there are four simple words:
â Voltani Mystiqueâ and âEvery dusk.â
The younger members of the group canât help but hoot and holler in excitement at what they had just witnessed.
That was wonderful! STUPENDOUS! And how she flew!
Oh.
She flew.
Luctan pretty quickly goes in a near fetal position over the realization that he too could fly, with wings that is, and now couldnât. He just sits there, much to the pity of his friends.
Until Amelia steps in. And, like a baller, casts Levitation upon the disguised tiefling man.
To say that this brings happiness to his soul is an understatement as, pretty soon, after the baby gets held safely by another, Luctan proceeds to dance. Twist, turn and spin. Flip and maneuver as though he was flying with his own will and skill. Showing what his maneuvers had been like before tragedy tipped those away from him.
There is so much joy, so much bliss in the performance that he even earns two silver coins out of it from onlookers.
And if not for that.
Then Luctan wouldnât have seen the figure, eyeballing him from the back.
Luctan recognizes someone from the shadows. Someone, who used to work with his mom. His babysitter at some point. And this is weird since heâs not from around here.

Following the news of Gexumâs fall, the party meet back up in the temple of Bellinas, where they come to an agreement to find Samson, back at the Lawyersâ Guild.
The Lawyersâ Guild, where they had first left him be. The party, together, arrive at the guild, a stone building with a large tower in the back. Though it looks like a temple, the large amounts of windows and the all around back structure of it, leading to several floors above dissuades that notion pretty quickly.
Inside, we meet with a Golliath receptionist and inform her of our intentions, giving details on Samsonâs appearance to corroborate our story. Understanding our situation, the shy Golliath points the party to an fireplace-esque spot at the side of the room.Â
Following an action by her (I canât quite remember, I think she used a wand???), the Cultbusters get sent levitating up to the Office of the current head of the guild, the Gnome Wizard Jayne.
Once up, we are first met with a white rat, who gives us a quick look, before sneaking under the door of the office. After approaching and knocking on it, the door opens on itâs own, as though by magic (which, of course it was magic) and we take in the inside of the room.
Sitting behind a large oak desk, too big for itâs current occupant, is Jayne, the Gnome Wizard and her trusty sidekick, the white ratty boy. Entering inside, we introduce ourselves and explain we are in search for Samson... only to learn that by now he has gone on his way, back home to Menum, which somewhat deflates the partyâs expectations.
Following Luctanâs request to touch the ball, Jayne questions our allieship and loyalties... Once we make it a point to state that we are friends of Savon, Guild Master of The Forestheart Bretheren, the air around us loses itâs tense nature.
We discuss the mantra of The Death Cult that we had taken out about two weeks prior to this day, which corroborates the event in Gexum:
"When the Western Fields lie sundered, blackened with ash.
When Lake Stren turns red with the blood of your allies
When brother turns against brother in the North
When the Giants of the East flee from demons bigger than they
When the Council lie with their throats slit
That is when I will come for you. And it will be the End."
With the first part of that mantra coming true, it becomes quickly evident that we must do something regarding the lake in the west. And calling the Darksbane Army for aid is an option, raised.
We discuss plans over a few cups of coffee (Mournimar downing a couple like whiskey shots) and Luctan asks Jayne if she can send Savon a message to send some of his people to Gexum. The idea being they heal the fields with their druidic capabilities, seeing as Gexum is a main source of food for the whole continent.
Though assured that Savon had certainly thought of this at the news of Gexum, Jayne does agree to message him, regarding the partyâs wish. And through a few choice words, Belli learns the use of Send Message from Jayne (much to Ficusâ distant frustrations).
(We also learn the name of Jayneâs rat buddy. Jayneâs rat is called Atticus. Heâs great. Heâs very friendly.)
Following a persuasion from Luctan, he gets to touch the ball a second time. Though she warns him of how the visions will become more personal after further uses, he persists. Jayne unlocks it from itâs hiding place and places it atop a quadpod. Reaching his hand out, Luctan gets the visions...
Luctanâs thrusted at lightspeed to the West, he feels the wind past his hair, heâs hovering above a blackened field. He sees a devil, impaling civilians. He watches the attack as it happened. Chaos all around, mothers fleeing with their children, everything burns, magma spewing out of the volcano. He reaches out to help, before heâs ripped away again.
He goes back, in time to see robed figures lining Lake Stren. Itâs unnerving as he feels himself amongst them. Amongst the people, he sees a changeling man, the Priest of Fornas, Dak. Blood comes from their mouths and they fall from the lake.
Something rises.
Up in the north, itâs chaotic. He doesnât have a form here. Thereâs a battle and he feels tiny. This is a battlefield. He sees what appears to be a man with long blond hair and golden armor and heâs healing people as he goes, while defending. Every time he knocks someone down, itâs with the hilt of the sword.
Further east, beyond the mountains, giants are running from Deemons and Devils and they are twice-three times Luckâs size and terrified. Mothers carrying children, bigger than him.
Then, back to the center in Crystalgate, he sees three twisting, spiral towers and heâs brought down to one, where he sees the same three people, dead, surrounded by no one.
He feels himself injured. His eyes are drawn west of the city. And he is then snapped back in the room. Falling back on his ass.
Helped up, he reiterates the message, elaborating the new information that bothers him greatly. After a long discussion, with many back and forths, where the party struggle to reach a consensus on the level of their involvement, they ultimately agree that at the very least, they need to involve the Darksbane Army in this quest.
As plans are made, we split up, half the party (Belli, Luctan and Mournimar) go to get Ficus and the other half go to Nash, the cleric of Temple Bellinas.
The talk is quick and to the point, with Ficus agreeing to come along, as per a previous conversation that Belli had had with her brother, seeing as he wanted to see the after effects of his familyâs transformation.
Reuniting at the temple, we elaborate our reasoning and thank Nash for her hospitality, these past few days. Though she tries to hide it, she fails to cover up that she is relieved she doesnât have to clean after Rimefang again. which sets off another hilarious discourse on Mourni blaming.
Before they go, Luctan asks Nash to keep an eye out on Dak, seeing as he appeared in his vision as one of the robed figures at Stren. She agrees and points them to the local branch of the DBA, where they could make arrangements to be expected in Crystalgate. âSay hello to Ashlana for me.â
The human and âhumanâ compliment each other, regarding Bellinasâ smiling upon them (And we get the line âOf course she smiles upon me. Iâm her main bitch.â) and we leave, with Nash reminding Amelia that she owes her a drink after this is done with.
The meeting in the branch office is quick, to the point. Ashlana is a red tiefling with beautiful green eyes and a bow. She takes us to Owen, the leader here, and exposit on the happenings. Arrangements are made and we take our leave, ready to be welcomed, once we get to Crystalgate.
The first day of travel almost flies by, with Beli and Ficus coaching the shit out of the position behind the reigns.
We spend a night in the town of Bonis (many jokes are made). Population in Bonis is mostly half-elven. Some changelings, lizard folk??? This is Hickville. Everyone but Luctan taking rooms.
The red tiefling, in human disguise, meditates for what feels like half an hour, before shifting to sleep.
The following day, everyone, but Belli and Luctan can hear a crow. One, who only Burk can hear speak to him in common, using the words â I will come for you. I will!â
Not taking any of the birdâs shit, Burk pierces it with a javelin, but doesnât kill it. The wounded predator flies off, cawing. Much to most of the partyâs protest t his action. Burk defends himself based on the animalâs words to him and we eventually drop the topic as we carry on.
We stop upon seeing a goose with a hat. Heâs walking here. Mournimar tries to cast âSpeak With Animalsâ, but the Goose speaks directly to him, in common, a Jersey accent evident in the tone of voice. Heâs walking âere.
The goose shifts into a gnome after Mournimar asks if the goose was polymorphed and needs help. No. He doesnât need help, because nobody fucks with geese. Jokes get made about goslings. And at one point the we mention bird stabbing, confounding the gnome. âWhat kind of a man stabs a bird?!â And we wonder that too (ooc side eyeing Burk)
Later on after the goosident, Burk hears âIâll come for you, I will.â again, but he cannot see the bird.
As the night comes, we camp close to the road, taking shifts. Burk and Mournimar on first, Luctan on second, Belli on last, so as to prepare breakfast.
At the end of Burkâs shift, Burk sees a shape in the tree and hears the crow. No words in his head this time. He feels like heâs being watched. He sees a black shape go northward. And thatâs that for his watch.
... when he goes to sleep, though, a dream overtakes him. - Heâs running from something. Itâs completely dark around him, heâs only wearing a loin cloth in this darkness. In his dream, something swoops at him and he takes 2 points of psychic damage. Succeeding on a wisdom save, Burk awakes, just in time to see A dark figure, much bigger than the bird drop from above. A pile of beaks and claws, deformed, corrupted.
Mournimar joins Burk as a battle begins After critting with his weapon of choice, Mournimar kicks Amelia awake from her pleasant sleep.
A frustrated Amelia punts the bird and it drops on itâs back.
Then, the monster bird shrieks and wakes the rest of them up.
Instantly, Amelia, Mournimar and Luctan become terrified, with Ficus joining in the fear jam to some explicit additions;;; (yeah, he shits himself).
The bird goes for Burk, Amelia misses. Burk takes 6 damage. Then he moves out of the way, the bird missing a second attack. The bird tries to fly upward, but Burk does not let it get in an advantageous position and cleaves one of itâs legs off with his axe.
As it goes 15ft up in the air, he pulls out a second javelin and pierces the beast, dropping it.
Upon impact with the ground, the abomination pops like a baloon, sludge and gore flying everywhere.
We investigate it and Belli remembers something she had learned, during her homeschooling days.
She learned to pay attention on the lesson on animals. That was something she could pay attention to. And she can tell that this was once a Kenku... But based on the distorted features, it was influenced by some kind of interaction by the plane of the Abyss.
A plane of monstrocities that make up the bedtime stories of warning that parents tell their kids to make them behave. Even followers of Potencia are afraid of that shit. Not even they fuck with it.
After some shenanigans involving cleaning up after âlootingâ the creature, we learn a bit more.
The abyss was created during a feud between Qoârin and Potencia.
The party agree to move onward to the next town as a preferred resting spot. Luctan takes the reigns, as itâs his turn to watch out and Ficus joins him, keeping it fairly quiet in the front of the carriage.
The trip to Morum is peaceful, comparatively to their last incursion and once they reach the town, Luctan goes to get some shut eye in the back. Belli has to be dissuaded from shaving his beard off (visible or not).
While Luctan sleeps, the rest agree to carry onward...
Luctan gets woken up by the time they reach something horrifying (Itâs ok, he had his long rest, guys!).
On the road ahead of them, Mournimar sees an overturned carriage. One body, two bodies, three bodies if you count the horse. A woman, before them, a man close to the dead horse. There is blood everywhere.
Peeking from the side, Luctan can see the back of a very large person around a right corner from the victimsâ carriage...
As Mournimar casts Pass Without A Trace and Belli goes invisible, we sneak ahead. Luctan stops at the woman, Burk and Belli go to the cart, where Belli loots some coin from the dead body. Mournimar and Ficus go for the trees on the right of the road, behind the creatures that quickly can be identified as Ogres.
Checking the womanâs body, Luctan is horrified to learn that she is a young mother, elf, with graying hair, surely of stress. The horror, naturally, comes in the revelation of the bundle she holds onto, a baby boy with brunette hair and purple-ish blue eyes.
A shaky Luctan manages to hold his composure as he takes the child and brings him to their carriage, placing him in the back, making faces to try and ensure some calmness to it.
Then he walks in the forest, drawing his shortswords, East Ender and West Wounder, Redrum in his eyes.
Mournimar and Ficus kick things off with long distance attacks, surprising and wounding the Ogres. Amelia bounces gracefully towards the two, a Blue and Gray one respectively, but her strikes do nothing, having not enough strength to cause any damage. Something she will remember for later on.
A roar is let loose from the green fury known as Burk as he jumps atop the turned over cart. Drawing one axe, Burk charges to battle and swings, striking the blue one.
The impact is harsh nad brutal as Burk cuts his gut open, his guts beginning to spill out..
This is when Luctan strikes. âMURDERERS!â he shouts as he charges the blue one. He swings once, he swings twice, three times after an action surge. FOUR TIMES HE ATTACKS! âYOU ORPHANED A CHILD!â he yells. And as the blue one looks ready to be finished off, Luctan crosses his blades, reverse grip, and decapitates him, blood spurting everywhere.
Decapitation jokes a plenty from Burk, Luctan finishes his action with a crossbow shot to the face of the other Ogre. Grieving, raging for his buddy, he attacks Luctan, who rolls out of the way of the attack.
The second attack goes for Burk, the one, who spilled Blueâs guts to begin with. And thugh he does hit Burk, the barbarian tanks that shit, like itâs nothing. You donât fuck with the Burk.
With Mournimar marking the remaining ogre for the hunt, he strikes succesffully, embedding his coarse body with the pointy projectiles.
Belli fails a sleep spell, becoming visible. She proceeds to inspire Burk, while Ficus applies his skills as a rogue to stab the big lummacks that now stood over the body of his fallen comrade.
Opportunity presenting itself, Amelia strikes.
Blow after blow, she swings lefts and rights, beating the living hell out of the club wielding fucker, shattering not only his bones, but any chances he will live to see dinner. Amelia physically destroys this fucker.
Taking the last Finish for the day, Amelia strikes a hard fist, punching his brains in.
As things die down, Luctan checks the bodies. Being ogres, as naked as Tarzan, he doesnât find much on them, beyond their clubs. Which he takes and puts in the back of their carriage.
Then he takes their heads and places them in the back.
They check with the kid as the bloodlust drops from the magenta monster slayer.
A cruel end for cruel beings.
Amelia takes the baby and checks if heâs alright. Heâs alive, just passed out from crying, having evidently been spooked from all the noise of combat.
As they consider what to do next, Luctan finds a bracelet on the woman. AÂ bracelet with a bright blue bead on it. One, which he returns to the baby with, placing it on the little one, before he cleans himself from the giantsâ gore.
They agree to bring the baby with them, for as long as they have to nd find a safe space to house him. In the next town, Pollum, they will ask people to send someone to retrieve the remains of the family and the carriage...
Somewhere, along the way, the baby gets passed back to Luctan, who holds the younginâ close to himself, making sure heâs safe.
Over the next hour, Mournimar and Amelia take notice of a small white fox running in and out of the forest, trying to evidently get their attention.
After a while, Mournimar casts Speak with Animals on it and the fox ask them, in the sweetest voice ever, to follow it, past the trees.
While Ficus and Burk stay to guard the carriage, the rest of the party go along with the little fox, which eventually leads them to a small peaceful grove with a giant white willow tree in the center. Investigations show itâs a normal tree.
There are small red berries under the brushes. The white fox is curled up under the tree. âSafe place!â it says when asked. It talks of a gift. The berries. Basically, the little fox offers them a place to rest for the night, which is fast approaching.
Accepting, Amelia pets the little creature, while Belli calls for the others to come join them with the best boys.
The direwolf, Morgan, is evidently jealous and nuzzles onto Mournimar as the ranger tiefling pats his buddy.
Belli then summons her familiar, Orion, in the form of a orange fat cat.
And Orion bleps.
Upon a nature check, Belli guesses that these berries are known by a specific name âGoodberriesâ.  Druids and certain Rangers can produce these. And they cure ailments, like paralysis, blindness, and the like.
As they take enough for the road to come, the party take positions around the tree, to rest up.
And Luck sings a little song he knows, for the baby...
âHush little baby, Luctanâs here with you,
gonna watch and shield you with steel,
gonna protect from many and fewâŚ
Sleep now, little baby, youâll be safe with me,
the wilds wonât scare you any more, do believe, believe.
Rest now, little one, the greatsword at my back.
Rest now, little sweetheart, I will protecc and attacc.â
