The first knock at the door had just caused him to roll over to face away from it. He figured whoever it was would just give up, after all he’d been through the last couple of days, he’d earned his alone time. Being in the family home had been easier up until this point. It was an easier place to be than his apartment at least, hell, his cat was there with him and had been for a week or so. There’d been a lot that’d happened to him in the last year that made him want to curl up in bed and just hide from the world, but this was the breaking point. Another knock and he grumbled to himself, pulled the duvet up over his head childishly. A third knock sounded and he sat up, disrupting the slumbering cat near his feet in the process. “What do you want?” Reaching to rub at his eyes with the thumb and forefinger of his right hand, Lucian sighed heavily before looking to the closed door. He was too tired to be angry or annoyed but it’s not like sleep was coming easy anyways. With an almost dismissive wave of his hand candles on the nightstand and dresser flickered to life, offering some light to the otherwise darkened room. “I get you’re probably just concerned or whatever, but I cannot stress how much I do not want to talk right now.” It didn’t matter who it was, he wasn’t ready to face anyone in the house just yet beyond an ‘I’m fine’. There was too much to sort through mentally and emotionally, he didn’t even know where to begin to process anything. @elijah-tallis
