So last time I said something along the lines of of "Glass is the traitor and Paradox is a friend/probably partner that got caught in the crossfire". This post is gonna elaborate on that.

So like I've been remembering Gears and his backstory lately and it got me thinking "damn The Foundation has probably kidnapped more people like this. Especially if you've got a really niche but important anomalous thing your studying."

Ive already established that Simon's particular expertise is is Oneireics(a nicheer anomaly type) and that he also has very personal connections to The Hand(likely friends and family). We also know The Foundation really loves taking Hand members in particular(willing or not) because of there knowledge on things like magic. Its not a stretch to say The Foundation probably took him for his niche expertise in paranormal psychology.

It also ties back into the idea that Simon was working for Chao(atleast for stealing SCP-268). And also who better to help steal your hat back then someone who wants to escape really badly.

But he eventually got caught. What better thing to punish someone with then his own "best friend"/partner in crime. Afterall they need him for his expertise so there not just gonna let him go.

It does in a way also explain some of his behavior and the behavior of other's directly above him. The file digging, the need for a relationship, the need for humanity, why he holds onto Paradox's file, the blackmailing, why his behavior is so easily handwaved by higher ups, why they don't trust him, etc etc.

Like he talks all polite and nice and stuff but hes just figured out to pretend he's nerotypical almost flawlessly

But anyways. New idea for Paradoxes and Glasses relationship. As almost always Paradox is a kinda mentor/friend and Glass is the younger one and they probably fucked. But!☝️ Paradox isn't the traitor this time, It's Simon. It gets more juicy and fucked up when you remember Dr. Glass is the alive one and he still works at The Foundation after the 268 incident(if were still using that one).

Whether he intentionally basically kills Paradox or not I dunno yet(leaning towards unintentional but intentional could work to). It would work with Simon's non denominal guilt. Or whatever sect of Christianity is popular in the Detroit area. As you can tell im not from Detroit.

But like imagine your working at the foundation, doing your job and even better your working with your bestie! And then all of a sudden he basically gets you killed/split into two kinda Gaster style minus the "splitting the world in two" thing. Dunno we could also just make Dr. Noel Paradox another Gaster equivalent like we did Scranton.
