Eguchi drew this as part of Anya’s drawing song corner during the special ANIME EXTRA MISSION event last weekend. You can watch the video here.
I just wanted to point out something I love about the voice acting choices for Loid and Twilight.
I watch a lot of translated SXF podcasts with the voice cast, and after making some comparisons, I noticed something interesting. Eguchi Takuya’s natural voice sounds much closer to the one he uses for Loid than the one he uses for Twilight. There are moments in his regular speaking where you can clearly hear Loid’s voice come through.
The musical seems to follow the same pattern with the actors who play Loid on stage. For example, Win Morisaki’s natural voice is the one he uses for Loid, while he shifts into a deeper register when he plays Twilight.
I like to think this implies something about the character. Since the actors use their more natural voice for Loid rather than Twilight, it feels like Loid Forger, the father and husband, is closer to his true self than his spy persona.
