HC - Luc
I feel that Luc would feel bad about how his brother died to a degree, but he had complicate feelings about this. He was in shock when his brother died, and Luc didn’t really find out until he got back from his travels what exactly happened. He had heard news of his brother’s passing, but he didn’t know much detail-wise- he heard he had die of the Plague though his father swore he was murdered. Luc pushed away his brother’s death as he worked over seas, when eh comes back to France he tries to find out more about his brother’s death for the sake of knowing the truth. He hears from his father that he was murdered by Queen Marie, and Luc is shocked at first. After that initial shock though he asked what was it that Éduard had done to deserve such a death? He had to have one something, since he knew his older brother and knew how very like their father he was. He found out through Claude that Éduard had poisoned not only a whole family during the Plague, but the servants and a noble girl visiting the room. Disgusted and angered, Luc feels his brother got what he deserved, though he occasionally has a pang of sympathy when he thinks about how his brother was in pain for hours before his death.
