The fact that Rhaenyra has sex with her uncle on the day of the funeral of her children’s father.

I repeat. Harwin is being buried at Harrenhal (S1 E7, Jace: We should be at Harrenhal, mourning Lord Lyonel and Ser Harwin.) and Rhaenyra can’t keep it in her pants for the uncle she french-kissed when she was 18.

This man risked his life and his family’s reputation for her. He practically got his father to quit due to the shame he made him feel. He fathered her children, raised them, protected them, trained them, loved them and loved her. He was to her essentially a husband and she cheats on him the day of his funeral. His fucking body was not even cold yet.

And what’s crazy is that she is trying to gaslight her own children by telling them “No, Ser Laenor is your father, not Ser Harwin, stop thinking about him because it’s inappropriate and focus on the death of this other person”, as if she wasn’t the one who imbedded Harwin on every aspect of their lives, only to then turn around and remove Laenor from their lives as well!

I’m feeling salty about the Driftmark Incident again so let’s run through all of the decisions that caused it.

1) Jacaerys, Lucerys, Baela and Rhaena’s decision to believe that someone had stolen Vhagar, even though a moment of thought would have made them realise that that’s not possible. Ignoring the obvious- that Vhagar is a massive, ill tempered dragon and wouldn’t allow anyone to steal her- there’s also that only three people in the castle could have claimed her, and very basic logic would have told them it was Aemond. Rhaena’s there with them and Viserys is too sick and already had a dragon before.

2) Their decision to go after this supposed thief by themselves, instead of fetching adults. Even though they know this person has just gotten control of a massive ill tempered dragon.

3) Their decision to continue with the confrontation even after they see it’s Aemond. The girls are under the incredibly stupid belief that dragons are hereditary, even though their father’s dragon is their maternal great grandfather’s and Vhagar was their paternal grandfather’s before she was their mother’s. God only knows why Jacaerys and Lucerys go along with it. Repeated cranial impacts with flagstones in their infancy, probably.

4) Baela and Rhaena’s decision to escalate the verbal fight into a physical one.

5) Jacaerys and Lucerys’ decision to join in with beating Aemond, a cowardly thing to do when he was already outnumbered and there was no reason to do it, instead of fetching an adult to stop the fight.

6) Their decision to not run away when Aemond is briefly blinded by sand. They could have left and ended the fight with everyone only sustaining minor bumps and bruises.

7) Jacaerys’ decision to take out the knife. This is cowardly and disgusting, honestly, pulling a knife on a unarmed boy they’d already attacked four on one.

8) Lucerys’ decision to pick up the knife. Again this is cowardly and disgusting.

9) And, of course, the stupidest and most disgusting decision of all: Lucerys deciding to slash Aemond’s face. Not just his face, his eye. Lucerys didn’t stab him in the cheek, no, he went for the eye where it would do the most damage. If that knife had gone just a little bit deeper, it could have penetrated Aemond’s brain and given him brain damage or killed him. Hell, it’s damn lucky he didn’t die of blood loss or shock or infection.

Episode 3;

Aegon, 2 years old (exactly, its his birthday). Helaena, still in womb.

Episode 4;

6-ish months later, Rhaenyras wedding- Aegon, 2 years & 6 months old. Helaena, a few months old. Alicent is more than likely pregnant or will be pregnant within a few months with Aemond.

Episode 5;

No more than a few days passed

Episode 6;

10 years later. Aegon logically should be 12 and change, Helaena 10, and Aemond 8/9. Lucerys is confirmed 8 and Jacaerys should be about 9. Joffrey is an infant. Aegons canon age is 14, Helaenas 12-13, Aemonds 10, ans Jacaerys 9 (I don't know for sure, this is assumtion). Rhaena & Baela are 9 or 10, they have no confirmed age. For the actors, Aegons was 19, Helaenas 15, Aemonds 12ish, Lucerys 8, Jace idk.

Episode 7;

Very soon after episode 6, but not immediate. I'd assume anywhere from a month to three months. Idk how long it takes to plan a Velaryon funeral.

Episode 8, the last time jump;

6 years later. Aegon logically is 18, Helaena 17, Aemond 16, Lucerys is confirmed 14, Jace 15, Joffrey 6. Helaenas twins Jaehaerys & Jaehaera are still toddlers, probably two- she and Aegon logically married at 15&16. Their canon ages should be 20, 19, & 17. Lucerys is again, confirmed 14 by a line of dialogue in ep8. Jacaerys is 15/16, I'm pretty sure the directors haven't confirmed his age.

Whenever Jace or Luke where with the Maesters and Aemond was there. Aemond would take priority as the heir.

It wasn’t fair! Jace tried and studied as hard as Aemond did and still everybody paid attention to Father’s dragonsless heir!

People only paid attention to Aemond because he is the heir because his mother is the Queen and Father is all but obsessed with Aemond’s mother.

Lucerys has heard people whispering about how his mother is a whore and backstabber because she was the Queen’s friend before Mother had him, Jace, and Joff.

His mother is no whore! It is not her fault that she and Father loved each other enough to have him and his siblings.

It’s not the fault of his mother that Fathet decided to marry the Queen on a whim.

And it doesn’t matter that people whisper that Father had an obsession with the Queen because he won’t set her aside in favor of one of the two women that have given him sons.

Baela and Jace had no children while Helaena had three children and Aemma was going to have a fourth child of her own to dote on and for Father to love.

Everything came easy to Father’s true-born children simply because their mother is Queen and because Father is all but obsessed with the Queen Alicent Hightower to the point that her children are the number one priority for Father.

It doesn’t matter what any of them do when Father prioritizes the Greens simply because of his obsession for Alicent Hightower.

Rhaenor loves Aemond more simply because he’s Alicent’s son.

Meanwhile Hannah’s boys are the bottom of Rhaenor’s affection because he cares more for Alicent’s children and Laena’s brats.

But between the Blues and the Greens, Hannah knows that the Greens are the ones that Rhaenor cares about more.

It doesn’t matter what Laena and her Blues or Hannah and her Blacks do, because in the end Rhaenor would always choose Alicent and her Greens instead.

First of all, whining that you didn’t get to mourn your daddy at someone else’s funeral, within earshot of the deceased’s daughters, is an exceptionally bratty and selfish thing to do and it shows what an awful mother Rhaenyra is that she doesn’t scold Jacaerys for it.

Second, why the fuck does Jacaerys know Harwin is his father? Why would Rhaenyra trust a child with a secret like that? Jacaerys could have blurted it out at any point. Hell, his line here comes very close to outing the secret. If anyone had heard his whining, that’s it. There’s no way Rhaenyra could possibly explain that away.

Third, It’s implied later in the episode that Lucerys doesn’t know, which also doesn’t make any sense. Jacaerys’ whining implies he knows Harwin and may have even spent time with him- otherwise what’s to mourn? - so how was that explained to Lucerys? Did he just never question why some random dude was spending time with him and his brother? Did Jacaerys never call Harwin their father in front of Lucerys? Did Lucerys never notice that the random dude occasionally spending time with them looked far more like him than his supposed father?

1 - Having multiple bastards, especially the three incredibly obvious ones.

2 - Marrying Daemon, the man she was named heir to keep off the throne.

3 - Sitting in Dragonstone for years, doing nothing to build political connections and allowing Otto et al to plot and plan unimpeded.

4 - Insisting on fighting the Dance when she could have accepted Aegon’s peace terms and she and her children would have lived safely for rest of their lives.

Like, okay. They’re children, I’m excusing all of them up to a certain point. But they’re some of the most vicious, aggressive, cowardly, snotty brats we’ve ever seen in this franchise and pretending that they’re not is so foul.

Lucerys is a hypocritical twat that bullied the boy he grew up with because he didn’t have a dragon, but then he’s totally okay hanging out with Rhaena who doesn’t have one either. And then he pulls out a knife and blinds Aemond for no fucking reason, after his gang attacked him first, and faces zero consequences for his actions. He eventually grows up to become an even worse person by literally laughing in his cousin’s face, whom he disabled. And then he tries to boss lord Borros around by telling him that he’s obligated to ally with Rhaenyra even if there isn’t anything in him for it.

Jacaerys is also very two faced for the exact same reasons as Lucerys, with the addition of having anger management issues. Like, remember how he beats the living shit out of his little brother when they’re training at the beach, kicks him to the ground and grabs him by the throat because he is upset their uncles are better warriors than them? That’s the good future king you’re all talking about? He is already obsessed with the idea of becoming king, to the point that his own mother has to remind him that she’s actually alive and well and he would have to wait a good fucking while before his dreams come true. That’s actually so sick on his behalf. Not to mention that he very likely married Sara Snow, betraying his fiancée, in order to gain the Starks’ help, which is very dishonourable. At least Lucerys told Borros he’s betrothed and refused to marry one of his daughters to get his support, I’ll give him that.

Baela is a deranged evil girl who was ready to throw hands on sight, too. And have we forgotten that she becomes a drunkard and whoremonger who spends her money gambling in the rat pits, the places where children fight one another in King’s Landing, once she grows up, or is it wrong only when Aegon II does it?

Rhaena is an aggressive coward who seems more preoccupied with the acquisition of a dragon than her mother’s death. She didn’t have the guts to go and claim Vhagar, but she feels powerful enough to confront Aemond when she has three people backing her up.

Finally, even without taking all of their problematic traits into account, these people are so severely uninteresting and unimpressive. Lucerys does not convince Borros to side with his mother and drops dead like a fly. Joffrey gets shrugged off by Syrax and plummets to his demise. Jacaerys is immediately killed during his embarrassing attempt to fight the Triarchy, not to mention that he was the reason his youngest half siblings were captured and nearly killed because he had the brilliant idea of sending them away. Baela loses the only dragon fight she was ever part of to Aegon II and Sunfyre who were very injured by a previous fight already! And Rhaena is just… there. Doing nothing. Never avenging her husband’s death, eventually marrying a Hightower. Yikes.

Honey, no.

Three grown men assassinating an innocent toddler ≠ a teenager getting revenge on the other teenager who disabled him. One of those things is not like the others.

Besides, weren’t you the ones crying that an-eye-for-an-eye is too much? Hypocrisy at its finest. All of this would have been avoided if they had just given Alicent that brat’s eye or some sort of justice whatsoever.
