I have read before that Disney+ was planning to make it’s streaming service more popular than Netflix or atleast they are competing with Netflix.
Also, important to note is that China is more important to Disney than any other country because of its crucial growth market due to its swelling middle class. I wonder if one way Disney+ is going to be more popular than Netflix is if it provides its streaming service to China. China even let Disney have 21st Century Fox assets without any conditions unlike other nations. Also, Disney+ is not going to be R-rated so i wouldn’t be surprised if China allows the Disney service in their country.
I don’t know why I’m writing this down. It’s just that it popped in my head and i thought it was interesting and kinda makes sense. Also, would Disney+ be the first American streaming service in China if that happened?
