🌻✨🌊🌿summer:

they don't understand the concept of swimming pools when you can just jump right in the ocean

alberto at some point needing to wear shoes because the roads were burning under his feet

they get way more freckles in the summer time, which show up as lighter more florescent scales in their sea monster forms

making popsicles in massimo's kitchen and eating them in the hideout

lazily sprawled out on the couch, with oranges and watermelon

it's so hot that alberto sits under the one fan running in the kitchen, while luca leans his head on his shoulder

🍁🍂📚☕️autumn:

the boys swap their cup of espresso for tea

making leaf piles

mandatory cuddles in the hideout with extra blankets and tea

luca stealing giulia's sweaters when he's cold

which makes alberto jealous, but luca wouldn't ask alberto because he lives in shorts and t-shirts

buying machiavelli scarfs and sweaters to dress him up in

much to his displeasure

kisses on each other's noses

❄ ☃ ⛄❄winter:

massimo taking alberto shopping for warmer clothes

with him pouting the whole time because he's not used to someone doting on him

but luca smiles and gushes over all of the outfits they pick out, saying that he's quite handsome and alberto brightens a bit at that

snowfall on giulia's window that alberto sees for the first time and immediately scoops up with his hands and tries eating it

the boys discovering that they really really like hot chocolate

giulia and luca reading books in the living room while alberto plays with the scarf around luca's neck

🌱🧺🌾🐏spring:

on warmer evenings luca would take alberto out into the courtyard to sit on the fountain and let the warm rain pour down their faces

luca helping out at the local flower shop during the spring time while alberto works with massimo

flower crowns!

flower fields!

luca grinning and in awe of all of the new life

the baby birds and bugs and butterflies and frogs that seemed to appear out of nowhere

springtime allergies

Luca is more than just book smart. He’s observant and calculating and I wouldn’t put it past him to be the kind of person to absolutely demolish someone in a battle of wits. Alberto wouldn’t even need to brawl anyone on his behalf because this boy would take one look at someone and immediately know all the hardest hitting words that would leave even the most fearsome of bullies in a speechless pile of tears (my guy had only just learned to walk and was already callin Ercole fish slurs). Obvi he still has a heart of gold, but heaven have mercy if you get on his bad side oof

i 100000% agree, and the movie confirms a lot of that. which, i'm pretty sure quill (@quillsandspilledink) mentioned this to me weeks ago when we were loosely talking about the sort of gender conforms in ships (like how eddie is the soft one, more fem/luca can be hc'd into that) where luca is perceived as the damsel/softer one and alberto does all of the more robust driving action in the plot but! as i was saying- i totally agree. i loved the whole confrontation scene where he's arguing with his mom, where his anxiety isn't the prevalent driver of his motives/decisions, it was great. even his little sass with alberto in the beginning of their meeting, it was cute how quick he was to defend alberto during ercole's thing by the shop too, literally holding a weapon that kills their own kind to potentially save his friend? hello?

the fish slurs were. it. i loved that. probably one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie, kind of giulia, ercole & co. and alberto's wow moment for luca.

personally i think if they did have a baby (surrogate or adopted dumpster child) it would be a boy <3

because of alberto's past he had a hard time adjusting to having a lil' guy running around

but after the first initial shock he soon (very soon) was obsessed

i'm sure he asked massimo lots of advice on being The Good Parent

they invite giulia over almost every other night for bath time cause as soon as the baby sees the scales on luca or alberto he cries

but giulia? having no complaints

she'd eat that upppp, since she's the only child??

daniela and lorenzo intentionally spend more time above the surface to spend time with the baby

giulia rooting through massimo's messy cabinets and clutter to find old italian books of baby names

i'm sure massimo's wife had because she seems like type of new mom to just have old baby books and names convince me otherwise

even tho she had no screen time- moving on-
