Hello Schmedterlingfreud. I was wondering, what do you think is Luca's strongest class at school?
Interesting question -- especially since I've noticed that our fandom has quite contrasting opinions on this topic. But that's also the magical beauty of fandoms! Speaking of which, I've read particularly interesting answers as well from other fans.
In any case, in my very personal opinion, Luca would be very good at Literature, since -- again in my opinion -- his passion for books and reading will grow even more after starting school. Furthermore, by reading a lot and especially reading many different books, he would be able to acquire a very vast and universal knowledge on many different topics.
[In this case I fear I'm biased, since I based one of my fan fictions precisely on his skill/passion for Literature, so please take it only as a headcanon of mine. 😉]
Despite this, in my opinion, Luca would also be very good at Biology -- maybe to study the nature of sea people like him --, or at any scientific subjects that would then keep him close to what will remain the passion that for him was the origin of everything: Astronomy.
Luca was born with a very curious nature towards the whole world around him, so I don't feel like excluding out any option. Maybe he is one of those people who has a favorite topic for each school subject, so his interests would vary depending on what they are studying at that precise period of time.
