Those pretty blue eyes pin you in place. “I can’t do it if you don’t tell me, Daddy.” His fingers press into your skin slightly, a reflex borne of the fire you stoke when you call him that.
Then he collects your glass, half-full with freshly-squeezed lemon juice, some very smooth vodka, simple syrup, and a large, perfectly-square ice cube. John holds it up in a silent request and you nod before eagerly parting your lips. The sweet, lemony cocktail goes down much better when he’s feeding it to you.
Daddy wipes away a stray drop at the corner of your mouth with his thumb. You don’t need any prompting to sit forward and lick the sweetness from his skin.
You watch the blue of his irises slowly become eclipsed by his pupils at the sight of your pink tongue.

I’m still writing, still plugging away at Heartless, but I had a pretty catastrophic breakdown this past Saturday and ended up relapsing into SH. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I basically write non stop and have been updating almost once a week for months. I think I need to take it a little slower for my health. I’ve also been dealing with (bad back, food aversion, autoimmune symptom flare ups). I’m still writing all the time, it will just take me a little longer to complete and post updates. Heartless chapter 7 is dropping either today or tomorrow
Treehouse chapter 23 and LTGTR are on pause until I finish finals, because I can only have so many fires going on in my personal life
I rewrote my outline for treehouse and the reveal is coming in chapter 24 (instead of chapter 25!!!)
