The group of new recruits had just been dismissed for the day and with a soft sigh, Jack slouched his shoulders, finally relaxing. It had been a tougher day than he had expected and he was glad that training was over. He hadn’t been sure just what he was getting himself into when he had signed on with Overwatch but the thought of making a real difference in the world had been enticing.

Raising one hand, Jack scrubbed at his face before rubbing the back of his neck and rolling his shoulders. Off in his own little world, the blonde turned, ready to head back to his bunk for the night after a nice, warm shower, when suddenly a voice interrupted his thoughts.

“Hey sunshine. Where do you think you’re going?” There was only one person who called him that and chuckling softly, Jack turned around to greet him.

“I was going to head back. Worn out from today.” He said, giving a little shrug as he explained himself.

Shaking his head, Gabe moved towards him. “Awe, come on, Sunshine! The day’s still young!” He reached out, grabbing Jack’s wrist and giving it a tug, clearly not about to take ‘no’ for an answer. Jack was left with no other choice but to follow as the man lead him down the hill towards a grassy area.

“Today was crazy, wasn’t it?” Gabe asked, finally letting go of Jack’s hand before flopping down under one of the tall trees. He leaned up on his elbows, lounging with his legs spread out in front of him.

“Yeah.” Jack agreed, sitting down next to Gabe and letting out a sigh. “Hey, Gabe… Do you ever wonder what it is we’ve gotten ourselves into?” He asked, picking at the grass in front of him.

Gabe raised a brow, looking over at Jack and tipped his head to the side a bit. “Eh, I mean… sometimes… But I’m glad I’m here. Got me out of that hell hole I was living in before.” He chuckled a little, sitting up. “Whats this all about, Jackie?”

Jack shook his head, frowning slightly. “Just a rough day…” The blonde went silent after letting out another soft sigh.

Gabe looked him over, studying him, trying to figure out exactly what was wrong. The silence hung between them for a few moments before Gabe scooted in closer, eyes still focused on Jack.

“You know what though? I think that the real reason that I’m glad I came here… is because I met you.” He said, wrapping an arm around Jack, tugging him in a little closer.

“R-Really?” Jack asked, looking up at Gabe, a light blush forming on his cheeks.

Gabe chuckled and nodded his head, giving the man a little squeeze.

“Yeah well… I don’t know if you’ve noticed… But I kinda have a thing for you, Sunshine.” Gabe said, leaning in a little closer to the man. “And… I was hoping you felt the same for me because god, I’d hate to be left with just images of you while I’m in the shower~” He said, trying to make the man blush brighter. The blonde was too cute when he blushed.

His words worked, causing Jack to blush a brilliant shade of red.

“Oh… I… Well… I uh… I might feel kinda the same…” He said, looking away from Gabe and biting his lower lip.

Gabe let out another chuckle, his hand reaching out and turning Jack’s face towards him. “Then… it's okay for me to do this..?” He asked, leaning in and pressing a sweet kiss to Jack’s lips.
