In Love Sky, it was easy to read Sky's emotions like when he was angry or annoyed or enamored but in Love Sea it's the opposite when Rak is closing himself off. Like when Sky tries to push Prapai away it's visible to us viewers that he's only doing it coz he's scared of what might happen once he lets himself feel. There was this vulnerability in Sky even when he was acting all cold and aloof. But in Love Sea Rak portrays the closed off emotions in such a way that we can't even discern what is going on in his head and maybe that's coz we are still only in Ep4 and don't really know much of Rak's background story but when Rak wants to show his adoration towards Mahasamut Peat portrays it so openly like it's practically tattooed on his forehead.

When Sky said he's not interested in Prapai etc etc we as viewers can see that he is definitely interested but is holding himself back but when Rak says he will never fall in love, we feel inclined to believe it and he says it with such conviction that if I was watching this show with no knowledge of the novel or the spoilers I would be like "oh shit this is gonna be an angst hill" but it's coz I know the spoilers and all that makes the scene bareable to watch knowing they will be okay.

Sky believes in love and he wants it so bad but his fear is what's stopping him from going for it ! But with Rak it's ingrained into him that Love is nothing but a figment of imagination and so he doesn't believe in it. But what's even more interesting is that there are moments where he lets himself think of what it would be like but it only lasts for short seconds and he comes back to his belief that "love is delulu".

Mahasamut who had no issues entering Rak's room in the first episode waits by the stairs for Rak to let him in not just into his room but also into his heart ! He knows he's being shut off but he also knows that he has to be patient where Rak is concerned. He takes that first step but he knows that he can't barge into Rak's life. Not this time anyway. At the island Mahasamut was "at home" he had a purpose "take care of Rak for the 2 weeks in all the ways" but here he truly doesn't know where he stands. And Fort my darling beautiful talented Fort portrays all this in just a few seconds and you can also feel slight frustration but also the yearning to be close to Rak, to be someone Rak would trust.

Also the cinematography of this scene is genius! You see how the camera focuses on Rak's room from Mahasamut's angle not just showing where Mahasamut's standing in Rak's life is but also the class difference between the both of them and the closed door symbolizing how Rak has shut off Mahasamut from him for the time being !

Fortpeat the actors that you areeee 🤌🙏 the moment we see them walking inside the house all the confidence and suave Rak embodied was gone just like that. He looks physically and mentally exhausted to the point where he can't even keep his head up. And Mahasamut notices this all. He sees the way Rak goes up to his room and might have also realised that Rak is starting to shut down and push him away so he goes up to his room not to pry any details but to let Rak know that he's not alone. He offers food and even asks if he can come in. He knows hes not allowed in Rak's room but his question is not just to enter Rak's private space but also into Rak's thoughts and feelings. Mahasamut wants to be there for Rak but only if Rak lets him in.

The angst scene was heart wrenching. Mahasamut could have gotten angry for Rak leashing out but in that moment all he cared about was Rak being okay. And baby waited for Rak to come downstairs and when he realised that Rak was indeed not coming he too skipped his dinner.

Coming back to Rak and his obvious turmoil. Its so clear how shaken he is after the encounter with the brat and it's something he never would have wanted Mahasamut to witness. The ugly side of his family and when that vulnerability was exposed he was scared that might be the thing that pushes Mahasamut away so he lashed out. All this time Rak has rarely shown his vulnerability with Mahasamut and this was one such moment where he was feeling so much and so overwhelmed that he didn't want Mahasamut anywhere near him coz he knows that he is about to explode and he wanted to keep Mahasamut far away from himself in order not to hurt him. But in doing so he hurt Mahasamut with his words and basically kicked him out to the curb and of course he regretted it and he wanted to talk to Mahasamut and apologize but in doing so it would also mean to open up about all the ugly broken parts and he wasn't ready for that yet.

And maybe he even believed that Mahasamut didn't even want to be a part of that. So when he went down and saw the food with the note and that's what broke the hold that he had on his emotions until then. He is also slowly accepting that he now has someone in his life who doesn't expect a lot from him. Who accepts him for everything that he is no matter how much he pushes them away.

This scene has my whole heart and soul I am telling you 🥺🥺. I don't even know where to begin !

I feel like we truly forget how young Mahasamut is and that it's Tongrak who's the older one but we see a lot of patience from Mahasamut and the bratty side to Rak we truly forget that Mahasamut is just 20/21 yrs old and he is so young 🥺

(Personally I don't like calling Mahasamut as Mut coz I hate that word and if I do end up calling it's mostly through chat just coz I am lazy to type his whole name or I might just end up calling him Maha 😂. Maha means great in a lot of languages but I know it personally coz it also means great in Sanskrit!)

In this scene we start with Mahasamut telling that he has used all his lifetimes luck to have Rak with him 🥺 and one of the things I noticed is how often Maha says "someone like me" 😭😭 for all his confidence there's still a part of Maha that feels like he is not worthy of Rak's attention/affection especially when he believes that he has nothing to give in return 🥺 and when he asks Rak not to leave it came from a moment of desperation but seeing the surprise on Rak's face he takes it back believing he has no right to ask that of Rak.

The shift in their dynamics is so clear in this scene coz we see Rak acting his age by telling Maha to act his age and to just ask and he keeps caressing Maha's face and hair lovingly and I wonder if Rak even realizes hes doing that. 🥹🥹🙏

And the hesitation on Maha's face the clenched fists it all shows the battle that is going on within him that makes him want to just shut down and not ask coz this is a boy who was thrown out by his own parents at the mere age of 15 just coz he shared his love for the ocean and his creatures. He has believed that unless he is contributing useful something to the table he has no right / place to speak his mind about what he wants or needs 🥺

When he says I have nothing to offer you, I think it was very important that Rak replied back with "I want nothing from you" like it's so important Maha had to hear that from Rak. In that moment all their "transactional" jokes were nothing but dust in the air. For Rak it's a way to tell himself that this connection between them is just coz Rak is paying Maha but everyone but Rak knows that it's not true. These two yes they annoy each other, they banter and flirt but they also have these deep conversations in the middle of the night while gazing at the stars and think "why the hell did I say all that to someone whom I have known for just 2 weeks"

"If I ask and you refuse I might never dare to ask anyone again" it's true you know once we open up to someone and then when they reject or say to that part of us we might never find the courage to be that vulnerable again coz the pain of that rejection feels like a stab to our heart. It's basically telling us that this soft vulnerable part of us is not worthy of love / care. So every time after that even if we want to be vulnerable there's still a part of us that goes " what if history repeats itself again, will I be able to pick up the pieces and go through that again"

The vulnerability in Maha's face as he keeps looking at Rak and tells him that he won't prank Rak or annoy him or wake him up early 🥺 like - "I will do anything as long as you stay" and Rak replying back with "you being you is what I need" Maha needs to hear that - despite being an annoying little shit it is that very same nature that brought Rak closer to him and trust him.

Does Rak even realise how in love he looks here. The adoration and fondness his eyes convey. 🥺🥺 Their smiles when Rak agrees not to go was so cute and then the kiss attack 😭😭 (reminded me so much of Paisky I am crying more now)

MY HEART 😭😭😭 TAKE IT WILL YOU...

I want to give a standing ovation for Fortpeat coz their acting in this scene was phenomenal 😭😭 it was so so good ! Fort my baby you have brought me to tears 😭😭 (is it just me who's thinking Fort cries so prettily 🫣🫣)

Also Rak can truly confuse a person tbh it's like he takes one step forward and then 5 steps back and it's so interesting to watch him go back and forth with his feelings like he himself doesnt know where he truly stands !

It's the little moments of Rak that Peat beautifully portrays that shows these tiny pieces of vulnerability - like him longingly looking around the room after packing and then walking towards Mahasamut in the lobby with the sad eyes like "I don't want to go, I am not done here yet, I want more time with you" and then the desperation he had while asking Mahasamut to come along with him and I guess he still believes that he has to pay to have someone choose him. So he uses that as a clutch to protect his heart and then the conversation by the door after saying the words that clearly hurt Mahasamut he wants to take it back but he doesn't know how without revealing that everything he had said to prevent himself from falling in love would be a lie !

The smile and heart eyes Rak had while watching Mahasamut and Mook bicker with each other was so beautiful 🥹🥺🥺 "I am not lonely anymore there's someone here to fill the emptiness that's been a part of me"

It's all the little moments that betrays his true honest feelings that Rak tries to hide underneath biting remarks and pushing Mahasamut away.

Now Mahasamut leaving the island - yes it surprised me that it was that easy especially after portraying in the last 3 episodes how this island is his home and he's a vital part of the community but you know what I can see why he left all that for more time with Rak. Coz I think he believes that this arrangement is not gonna last long. For all his confidence of " Khun Tongrak must love me" there's still an insecure part of him that believes that after Rak is done with him he will be discarded away so he's gonna use this opportunity to bask in that feeling he's come to crave in the presence of Rak.

You see people like Mahasamut, they are the kind to people who would fall head first into love and be super reckless. And that means when they find someone they care about / falls in love with they would do anything to keep them around and that means even doing things that makes no sense / completely ooc like leaving the island.

So I had this thought what if Mahasamut just straight up jumped into the boat without taking any necessities coz he knew the moment he went back to his home he would realise that he can't leave and remember his responsibilities and all he wanted was to spend some more time with Rak.

Love Sea - No regrets

Everyone has their fears, the fear of some important disappearing like dust vanishing into thin air.

Mahasamut was introduced to us as a boy who is wild and unpredictable like the ocean, living up to his namesake. He loves his island and its people, and when Rak enters his life, he begins to love this mysterious, lonely man. For Mahasamut, there was no looking back. He is someone who wants to live a life with no regrets, giving his all to everything he does—including loving Rak without holding back. He never pressured Rak, sticking to the rules and agreements set by him because he respected Rak's comfort zone. But Mahasamut also made sure Rak knew his feelings, leaving no room for doubt.

We often forget how young Mahasamut is, and yet he’s been forced to grow up too quickly, making him mature beyond his years. He respects Rak’s boundaries and never pushes them.

Mahasamut understands that Rak is scared of facing his feelings, but as the timeline he set for himself drew near—the moment he would return to the island—he knew he needed to speak his truth. He never wants to have regrets. When he finally places his heart gently into Rak’s hands, we see how scared he is, yet he still takes the leap, hoping that after everything they’ve been through, Rak might accept his love.

Returning all the money to Rak was Mahasamut’s way of proving that it was never about the money for him. He just wanted Rak to love him and to allow him to love Rak in return.

When Rak pushed him away and destroyed everything they had built together, Mahasamut knew he was done. He waited an entire night for Rak to change his mind, but when morning came, he understood that he no longer had a place in Rak’s life. He refused to let their relationship revert to a mere transaction, so he returned to the island.

He never regretted opening his heart, and he has never regretted loving Rak. The tattoo he got is proof of that. Mahasamut was ready to move on, viewing his time with Rak as a beautiful chapter in his life, even if walking away tore him apart. He knew that pushing Rak would only make things worse, so he left while he still had the strength to pick up the pieces of his heart.

When Rak appeared on the island, Mahasamut was initially shocked. When Rak asked him to tie the bracelet back on his hand, Mahasamut had every right to misunderstand. Before him stood the man who had trampled on his heart and declared that he would never love him.

Deep down, Mahasamut hoped Rak had come to confess, but until Rak spoke those words, Mahasamut wouldn’t take him back. Though young, Mahasamut has his own agency and refuses to back down from his decision.

Rak needed to prove his seriousness about their relationship, and we see him following Mahasamut around the island like a lost kitten. Yet, even then, Mahasamut remained steadfast in not letting him back in—and he was right to do so. Finally, we have the confession recording, and at the end, Rak says the words Mahasamut had longed to hear all along. It’s those words that make Mahasamut run to Rak, wanting to hear them directly from him, not through a recording.

The episode was everything I wished for and more. After Lita was over there were a lot of things I wished that we got and like a dream we got all of that in Love Sea 🥹🥹

I am an angst addict as long as it makes sense for the series and Love Sea delivered. I did not have over the top expectations coz no matter what we are not gonna get everything we want right but the knowledge that I got the things I wished for ... I am still over the moon ! 🥹🥹

Now in Lita when Sky broke up with Pai he was never a witness to the pain he put Pai through and that was one of the things I wished we had coz I wanted Sky to see that if even Pai has a heart of gold it is still capable of pain. 🥺

And in Love Sea we got Rak truly seeing the consequences of his actions and cruel words towards Mahasamut 🥺 that kind of pain doesn't go that easily so it was liberating to see Rak realize how much his words hurt Mahasamut deep.

And I am glad that Mahasamut didn't hold back on his feelings and truly spoke his mind. He is his own person and he had feelings too and Rak needed to see that. I am so relieved that we got Rak groveling to get back Mahasamut' affection tho I wished we had more of that but not enough time 🫣🫣 but I am still happy with what we got.

Fortpeat was so beautiful and phenomenal in the emotional sequence that you will be crying alongside them (based on a true story)

But I have to say extra kudos to Fort here coz oh my god his pain and heartbreak was so visible in each scene 😭😭 it was breathtaking to watch his performance and Peat has never disappointed me in the emotional section. These two carried this show like nobody else. They truly brought it to life with their performance and talent !

I wished we got more of their happily ever after 🥺🥺 but I am praying that we get that in the special episode for 2 hrs or so ! I need it for survival 🥺🫣😭😭😭

(A sudden thought - Did Mahasamut get the tattoo on his neck - which is supposedly a painful place - also it was also mentioned that he hates tattoos so my question is did he get that tattoo in that specific place coz he needed something to take the pain him his heart even atleast for a little while. Kind of like a short time distraction 🥺🥺)

I feel like there's a lot I am missing to say but it's 2am and I need sleep 🫠🫠 but in the next couple of days I will definitely be trying to put all my thoughts one by one 🤭
