It’s 1:48 am and I've never felt more awake in my life. I had to write this down somewhere. We can be friends, we can be normal people and be friends. Not friends with benefits or friends that always fight. Not the friend zoned type of friends. We can be real friends because I’m finally free, I can breathe and I am free. I’ve always been too scared to let go. Now that I’ve realized there’s nothing left to hold onto I can truly let go. I can look at you and talk to you and feel no pain. This is what we always wanted, this is what we always pretended we already had, a real friendship. I still care for you, but as a human being not a ex. I don’t regret anything of the past, the past is the past, the past is where I’ve been living all of this time. Now I have been reborn to the present day. I met you 2012 and now it’s 2015. Let’s start over, not in hope to renew the old, but in hope to start a new new. A heavy burden has been lifted off my shoulders by God. Cheers to today, Wednesday January 21st 2015 the day I start over. A new you, a new me, a happier life. Cheers, to being free.
