If “Loyalty Lock” the game that Mors and the other Cloche exist[ed] in, did Cloche Jin model her aesthetics after other Cloche? Does loyalty lock exist in twst as well or is it just the previous world that Cloche Jin came from?
Yes! Cloche Jin (NRC) is stuck in closet-cosplay, so her influences from Cloche Goldbelle is more on-the-nose. Otherwise, Cloche Jin latched on to Goldbelle because they have similar personalities, Goldbelle is from the LL equivalent of China (Nuandi) but assimilated into western-esque culture, and similar surnames (金/Gold). Since Goldbelle fits mostly into Chinese beauty standards (pale skin, straight black hair, clear skin without freckles/moles), part of that is internalized in Cloche too.
It’s from her admiration of the character that Cloche chose her “English”/non-ethnic name. (ATP any namesake is better than ~obedient child/son) What are the chances of her classmates knowing what animanga is? She can always pass off the similarities as a coincidence.
Loyalty Lock only exists in Cloche’ earth, much to her dismay. However, the bells that control Cloche Jin is a part of TWST magic.

“Is anyone gonna say something or is walking in uncomfortable silence the vibe?”
Polaris Iva - A rogue diplomat of sorts, embarking on a journey to stop an environmentally disastrous bill from being passed in Vostege.
Cloche Goldbelle - A maid from the acclaimed Goldbelle’s Facility for Girls; travelling with Polaris for safety.
Wylan Knight - A disgruntled (and laid-off) guard who wants his contract dissolved for good.
Happy 2026!

“Did you have a lot of jam at home?”
“…And people.”

Goldbelle’s Facility for Maids
While I’ve been thinking of Polaris and Wylan lore, why not cook up something that’s already settled? Cloche and Mors’ meeting! Making a comic of Polaris’ journey feels way too early now, so I might as well do the concrete stuff- plus, y’all are already familiar with Cloche too ;)
I’ve considered writing about the Goldbelle Facility, light novel style with some illustrations… but a short comic would be so fun too. For newcomers, Cloche is not the MC 💀 It’s already revealed that she dies in Mors’ TWST bio oop-
Days of Youth (Pt. 1)
Polaris’ is before his scars! He was in Hailand’s military at one point, and he’d also go seal hunting in his youth, which may or may not have resulted in some accidents. Plus, polar bear spats can get a little nasty, but that’s just how they do it! (He will deck a cub if they need discipline 😔, and he has definitely been decked before.)
Before getting kidnapped from Nuandi and brought to Goldbelle’s Facility for Girls (Vostege), Cloche would have dryer hair. She’s from a working class family and there’s more important things than grooming. She ends up wearing more Western clothes for assimilating in the future :’) Can she still speak the language of Peony? Only in a standardized dialect if Mors ever meets with diplomats (not the one she grew up with).
Wylan is from Ugris, Vostege. Though he grows to be super broody, he was a smug little brat for being the best at swordsmanship in his village. He was quickly humbled and grew bitter when he enrolled in military school in the city. He was very outspoken about what he viewed as just, but that changed, and tied into his resentment, when he learned meritocracy didn’t truly matter in politics. Like Cloche, his surname changed after being employed.
To focus myself back on my OCs, why not draw a moment of their youth? (Also a hint at their age differences-)
Same, same, but different?
Can’t wait to welcome Playful Land coming to EN! This is to kick off the end of September. I always thought Loyalty Lock! Mors and Cloche are like foils to Fellow and Gidel- Mors is rich, formally educated, and harbours no affection for Cloche at all. An encounter or swap between the duos would be interesting-
