of Respect
This is not being dominating or arrogant.
I think that lower classmen should pay due respect to their seniors. No matter the age, no matter the social status, heck, no matter even the height.
Your upperclassmen has been through a lot already. They've experienced and done things you have yet to go through. They know things only experience can teach. Disrespecting and/or neglecting to acknowledge their seniority them shows pride and arrogance. Just a simple ate/kuya and po/opo will do.
This is simple manners, one that must already be given. If you can't pay respect to your school seniors, how much more-or rather, less- are you treating your elders?
We Filipinos are famous for being polite. It's just disappointing to see that the younger generation seems to be forgetting their manners.
Kabataan, pag asa ng bayan. Ano'ng nangyayari saiyo?
Okay, so today I was talking to one of the freshman in band. She's really cool and she's a trombonist, but sadly I can't remember her name because I suck at names. Anyways. She had to get a ride from one of my friends not in band to All-County practice, and I asked her why she didn't just ask Helena (my amazing best friend and one of the trombone section leaders) for a ride. You wanna know what her answer was? She said that Helena was so cool that she was scared to ask for a ride from her. Now for those of you who don't know anything about me, I was the same way when I was a lowerclassman. And so now I'm wondering if maybe people thought the same way as I do now. Did people actually wanna talk to me, and thought I was cool?
It feels so good to finally be an upperclassman because now I can put all these little bitchy freshmen in their place
