Spring is here sun is shining and it tis Friday after all. Many more things to smile about than there is to do the opposite unless of course you’re standing on your head. That made ya think because I still am.
Anybody else ever hear a certain song and be immediately transported back in time to The Dixie Ice Bowl?
I played in a threesome last Sunday where we all birdied the 2nd hole. #1 that never happens, and #2 I lost money on the hole. Ever hear a guy bitch about a birdie? Voices in my head were bitching.
“Here comes The Sun King.”
So a few weeks ago I was in my office that overlooks the intersection of The Trail and The Lane in front of our abode. I observe two woman hastily pull over in a no parking lane in front of our neighbors casa and proceed to start snorting something from the center console of the car. So I call 9-1-1 and couple of Ft. Mitchell’s finest pull up to welcome them to our fine City. Unfortunately the officers, God Bless them couldn't make the pinch because of the cigarette smokescreen they created to cover any odor or give them other probable cause than some old salesman at his desk. I’ll get them one day, I’m not going anywhere, I am the self anointed block watch Captain dang it. Case open.
This isn’t my quote but there are two things that don’t survive this time of year. Dogs that run across highways and basketball teams that don’t make their free throws P.J..
Ah bent grass fairways mowed for the first time in Spring. Love it when the cool season turf wakes up from it’s winter dormancy. This old girl looks pretty fine for 114 years young.
St. Patrick’s Day in The Cov was awesome. No bridges needed for us kids to have fun in Kenton County. Covington has a great pulse and it’s only going to get better. Love The Cov.
Why any female would want to identify as a male and see what there is to see in a Mens locker room is way beyond the comprehension level of this 7 5/8 melon head. Ladies it’s just borderline awful. It is.
No coincidence I suppose that my jam for the day is The Barenaked Ladies with no apologies to all that were in earshod of my background vocals on this catchy little ditty this morning.
You think Kentucky Basketball and their fans were sad last night and this morning over last night’s hiccup. You should see the sad faces of the bartenders and owners in The Commonwealth.
I received the best compliment this morning which would be to self serving and make my lovely wife puke so I merely mention this again to encourage you to make someones day, don’t ruin it.
Have a great weekend. A friend just posted that with 10 inches of snow possibly on the way, go out tonight and put full beers in your driveway. That will make shoveling a treasure hunt tomorrow with hidden rewards.
Anyone ever mow the yard before you plow the next day? Thinking about it......and with Winter Storm Uma on the way I can’t help but take my two index fingers from each hand and begin to brush both across my eyes ala Pulp Fiction Uma at Jack Rabbit Slim’s.
