My first photo-feature on Cuba back in 2008 when I was Editor in Chief of Ok! Magazine in Slovakia. If you would tell me back then, that I will be a Cuban resident a decade later, or will get my Masters degree in Spanish language in documentary filmmaking here, I would laugh... But "Expect the unexpected" seems to be the story of my life. Actually, it happened to me already 2nd time that after falling in love with African Senegal and living here for 4 years, I couldn't resist Cuban charm this time. However, unlike Senegalese capital Dakar, Havana wasn't love on the first sight for me... In 2007 it was rather depressing experience, but a lot has changed since then in the city. During our 2nd date in 2015, we were dancing salsa and learning Spanish, she was so vibrant, fun and irresistible, that I just couldn't leave her just yet ;) Falling in love with her, over&over again, every time I watch the sunset from the ocean boardwalk Malecón or walk her streets and admire her old glory.
