hi!! i recently finished the great believers by rebecca makkai and really enjoyed it. i've been going through a crazy burnout/slump the last few months so i'm trying to be really selective in what i read and only pick up titles i think i'll enjoy. thank you rebecca for pulling me out of my slump. for my next read, i'm waiting for my dark vanessa on libby.

hello!! thank you so much i took a nap and that really helped π«Ά oooh ok so basically kiku kou and naomi came about as a result of exploring and expanding the hierarchical structure of edo period society....i'd written a lot of the commoner perspective and wondered what the upper class looked like.
omg there are so many scenes i love imagining with kikou i couldn't possibly pick one :') but well i have to admit sex has been on the mind latelyyyyy. i mean it's been almost eight years of me having them so we were going to get here eventually. not that i wasn't thinking about it before but i've been seriously imagining their dynamic in that sense and it's very fun, a whole new way of interacting....a different sort of conversation. i really hope to post some writing but writing good sex is Hard so we shall see.....
