It still drives me crazy that so many people kind of don't realize that sasuke is suicidal for basically all of Shippuden. Like people wonder why he would go 'crazy' and do things like crash the five kage summit or fight killer b and like. The answer is in his head he's been living on borrowed time since he somehow killed itachi without dying. And before that he thought he was living on borrowed time ever since itachi decided 'on a whim' to spare him. He's never seen his life as his own……and he's going to nuke every injustice he can about it until he dies trying……

TWICE #and it’s so true that he framed his entire identity around killing itachi and he shut himself off from imagining anything outside or after #so after the battle he’s alive and he has this gaping hole where a Sense Of Self is supposed to be #and he literally wakes up and obito recognizes the situation for what it is (which is that sasuke is just a Living Weapon with no objective)#and in that moment sasuke’s brain would probably latch on to ANYTHING that could allow him to ignore the way his sense of self is gone #the sasuke that existed before the battle IS dead. he has tied his entire identity to itachi. to be sasuke is to be the uchiha clan avenger.#obito manipulates i mean gives sasuke the perfect opportunity to table that inner conversation - here’s another guy to kill. go boy! fetch!!#like yes he isssss suicidal he basically considers himself already dead but he doesn’t want to think about it . so he does (waves hands)#All That<3 #like sure i think it’s fine to consider his actions being agential and coherent. BUT☝️#1. i think it’s more interesting this way #2. i actually fully believe kishimoto intentionally wrote sasuke this way #and 3. the previous point is why so many ppl hate sasuke’s ending #but if u look at things this way….. his ending starts to make sense and is in line w his characterization #i can catch tomatoes with my mouth please dont boo me<3 #sorry op this is not at all meant as criticism um i just like to talk and im just trying to waste time at work😵‍💫😵‍💫🫶#suicidal sasuke sunday everybodyyyyyy wooooo
