    he’d been wandering around for the better part of an hour at this point. it was truly a shock no one had stopped him. maybe a few weird stares here and there but he certainly wasn’t dressed to match the part of the people who shopped here. at first the plan was to just get in and out --- he really wanted some juice --- but after walking inside everything seemed to just draw the kid’s eye. he actually forgot about the bottle of apple juice that was clutched tightly in his right hand. but what catches him off guard is the wonderful smell coming from the back area of the store. being nosey and lacking any self restraint, jack makes his way towards the smell, abruptly coming to a stop when he notices the woman responsible staring directly at him. “ ---can I have some ? ”

❛ y’know it’s actually a MYTH that fish have no memory. some fish — they can remember months. a catfish can remember hearing a human announcing food up to five months after it’s happened. don’t know how they test for that but it’s true. how d’you think old wives’ tales like that start? ❜

A  FEW  WEEKS  AGO  ?       those  words  would  have  set  his  soul  afire.       to  have  a  woman  committed  to  him  -----  to  feel  it  so  fiercely  that  she  wasn’t  afraid  to  do  anything  ?        dream  girl  ,  easily.         but  now  ?         looking  at  her  ,  the  blood  that  haunts  his  dreams  covers  her  sweet  smile.        she’d  killed  an  innocent  ------  delilah  didn’t  deserve  it.         candace  didn’t  deserve  it.          it  didn’t  sit  well  with  him.          blood  might  taint  both  of  their  hands  ,  but  hers  were  marred.

moral  high  ground  -------  how  high  atop  it  he  sat  now.          she  couldn’t  possibly  understand  ;   but  the  life  growing  within  her  was  more  important  than  his  morals  right  now.         so  he  just  reaches  over  ,  hand  brushing  her  cheek  with  affection.       for  even  if  she  were     e v i l      at  the  core  ,  he  did  love  her.        she  was  just  so. . .       BROKEN.         surely  he  could  fix  her.   

“ this is too easy. for number one --- I like when she cooks for me . . . or bakes ! she always makes me yummy snacks and it makes me feel good on the inside too sort of . . . like --- ummm, like, in my heart. it feels good there and in my tummy . ” he’s not sure if he’s making much sense but that was the only way jack could really explain it.
