Picture this; a group of tourists drenched by the unpredictable London rain after a seemingly sunny day in the park stumble into any pub that will have them - tired, wet and somewhat broken. As we all gathered around the dinner table, thunder roaring in the background, and our stomachs grumbling harder were blessed with a meal that made you believe in something again. Spinach, wild mushroom & sage gnocchi finished in a cream sauce and topped with parmesan. With the unfortunate events from the afternoon before, the food at @theantelopesw1 brought life into our hungry souls. What I did not realise was that this dish was not just pub grub, but rather a medal of honour for finding food worth the 11.5 km of walking. The Antelope was nothing short of a dream that let drenched adults into their pub to dry off and then fed us a great meal after too. The photo might not be of the best quality, but the story behind the meal is the best 🍝 | #LoveatFirstTable @loveatfirsttable (at The Antelope)
