kinda crazy how the whole show revolves around lestat being a bad bitch nobody can get over bc he had 3 relationships that all ended in death and yet nicki kept the violin lestat gave him till death, armand kept a painting of lestat on the wall for a century, and louis KEPT A RANDOM BUSINESS CARD WITH HIM FOR 112 YEARS. HE WAS WITH LESTAT FOR 30. HE BURNT AN ENTIRE THEATRE DOWN AND KEPT A PIECE OF PAPER WITH HIS EX'S NAME ON IT EMBARASSINGGG

I can’t wait to see like, the relationship dynamic shifts between Louis and Lestat as the show goes on. Season 1 just had so much energy between them and they play off each other so well, but season 2 kind of throws a little curveball in there and we start to see something even more nuanced and tender. Louis’ breakdown of his recollections reveal a lot and their reunion reveals even more. AND. They’ve both been changed by experiences and time. How will they be with each other going forward? What is new and what is old? I don’t think they’ll ever seem quite the same again. I think they’ll seem much more balanced, much more equal in their approach to each other. I want to see Louis actively pursue Lestat a little. I want to see vulnerable and guarded and humbled Lestat not really knowing what to do with that. I want to see Lestat’s perspective on their relationship and how he views Louis. Mostly I want to see the real Lestat interacting with Louis and Louis fully settled with himself. I can’t wait

god louis is so funny what the fuck was his plan. hmm i know what will make my husband forgive me after i hugely betrayed his trust, revealed his trauma to millions, and made it sound like i never loved him in the process: i will pretend to be a powerful rich man blackmailing him into sex

actually the most underrated dreamstat moment is the scene in the bar bc we as an audience know what lestat is gonna say about 18th century armand but louis didn’t. in fact, at that point armand hadn’t said shit about him and lestat so that means armand’s vibes were SO BAD that louis was sitting in that bar thinking “omfggg this guy sucks even my hoe ex probably hated him 100 years ago” based on nothing like yeah loumand was doomed from the start

the issue i have with loustat modern aus is that really, rockstar is the only job lestat could hold down. like louis could easily be a lawyer or a doctor or anything else if he tried, and he'd be damn good at it, whereas lestat is definitely smart enough for these career paths in theory but if he tried going through law school he’d break down crying during so many exams they’d expel him on principle. and don't even IMAGINE what mr i-heard-your-hearts-dancing would be like in court

lowkey i always get peeved when people refer to lestat as 'leslut de lyingcunt' because he is nowhere near the pedigree of the other pro and hacker level liars on this show. he lied about cheating (it would hardly be cheating if he didn't) being able to fly (wanted louis to feel equal in their marriage) the trial (didn't write it & was there under duress) and being bad at poker. all of which are very toxic, yes, but don't indicate he'd be an unreliable narrator when given his own interview. until s3 comes out it is leslut de LIONcunt until proven otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!
