Lestat’s eyes widened and he tilted his boyfriend's head up. “Mon coeur?” Feminine nicknames were off the table for now, so he stuck with ones that couldn't be misconstrued.

“Surgery first,” Louis looks down at his chest. “Then a wedding, if you can wait.” The wideness of his eyes, pleading for this to be enough, as if it wasn't everything Lestat had been hoping for when he initially proposed a few weeks ago.
