surprisingly I'm not very good at giving advice. I think the most important thing is to practice a lot which is cliche to say ofc but it is very true and it helps greatly.
other than that, i do look at other people's art a lot, i try to focus on the values and the colours and the strokes and to somehow try and deconstruct their drawing process. which is not always easy but being more observant and thinking like you're about to copy an artwork really really helps. i call this trying to adopt an art forger mindset (paraxaraksi is such a great word you know)
other than that i think digital art might accidentally turn out to be very blended and plastic/fake-looking in a way (derogatory). this is mostly a person preference but that's why i almost never blend and use a lot of textured brushes one on top of the other
i didn't really think my faces and/or expressions were something remarkable before so thanks adfjkda ❤ in general i think learning to draw traditionally too actually helps because you are way more aware of the strokes and your hand movements. maybe this isn't true when you're using a tablet for digital art but i'm using a digitizer so i don't look at my hand and i'm way less aware of my moves. i'm saying this because expressions are all about small differences/lines/elements. it's a very delicate part of drawing bc it's so easy to have a very different result than what you wanted just because your eyebrows should have been a millimeter higher.
also i know it's a bummer but try to actually study anatomy, i know it's boring so that's why i do it by coping other people's works
