Tell Me I'm Wrong || Louise & Andrew
His knuckles turned white with the grip he held on the steering wheel. He knew he was well over the speed limit but he didn't care at the moment, all that mattered was that he had to get to the Rafferty home. He needed Louise to tell him everything he was hearing was a lie; he still had a year with her...right?
Pulling into the parking space he practically ran to the door, pounding on it the minute he was close enough. "Louise!" He yelled her name, not caring who heard him. "You said next year! Not next week!" His voice grew louder as he continued to pound on the door, the knocks turning more into punches now. "We had a year...We were supposed to have a year left!" His breathing became labored as his throat began to close out of the anger and the flood of emotions he was feeling.
"Please tell me I'm wrong. Tell me I'm an idiot for hearing wrong but please tell me you're not leaving." He whispered the last part sliding down the wall, his head falling into his hands, because deep down he knew he heard right and the rumors were true. His best friend was leaving him and he had couldn't do anything about it.
Bang, bang, he shot me down...
Greetings, doves!
I can hear Nancy Sinatra's voice now as I report Tulsa's latest tragedy. Emily Reed, according to my sources, was shot just the other night by an unknown assailant, which could explain the sightings of Cade Madden back in town. Could it be a Greaser attack? We know they like their guns, but then again, isn't the first suspect always the lover? Maybe, baby did shoot her down.
On a happier note, Rodney Dodger, the infamous Greaser leader and possible suspect in above shooting, celebrated another year of surviving rumbles and tormenting Socs. Congratulations, sir, to many more of my articles in which your name will appear.
Peace and love, Tulsa could definitely use some, and Miss Rafferty might start preaching a little more of it with the weed she is reportedly buying from Griffin Walters. Nothing wrong with letting your hippie flag fly, doll, let it fly. Just be careful of the hard stuff, don't need you majorly tripping on those bridges you find yourself on.
Keep spilling the juice, and I'll keep reporting it. Such a beautiful relationship. Cain and Hailey or Carmen and Rodney are amateurs, I think you and me make the best pair.
Stay Fab!

A Twist in my Story || Louise & Andy
Dreams. The only outlet for your subconscious mind. It was funny how a series of events could affect any and every dream you have. The dreams you have defy all laws of reality. Some people believe dreams are lessons, while others believe it is pure nonsense.Though when exhaustion has taken you hostage it's difficult to dream. The exhaustion he felt before had him completely knocked out. Not sleeping properly for two, almost three, days does that to you. Though the exhaustion he felt was no match for the knocking on the door and the smell of food.
"If there is no bacon there I am not getting up." He mumbled as the knocking persisted. He was never a morning person, though he was pretty sure it was sometime in the afternoon. Lifting the pillow he covered his head. "I'm sleeping."
Running on Empty || Lou and Andy
The ride back to Tulsa was lonely and quiet, with the occasional honk of a car horn breaking the silence. He had yet to get his hand checked out but he payed it no mind as the pain had begun to become a dull throb. His thoughts had found him and sleep was calling his name but he chose to ignore both. He was determined to make it into Tulsa by daylight. It was this determination that kept him up long enough to notice when he began to drift dangerously close to the edge of the road.
As the "Welcome to Tulsa" sign passed by him a wave of exhaustion washed over him. He had finally made it to his home town, though there was one more stop he had to make before he actually went home. Stopping in front of the Rafferty residence he sighed quietly. He wouldn't admit it but he was nervous. How do you explain leaving without warning? He knew today he would have to explain his reasoning carefully and hope that there would enough understanding that things could go back to how they were. Knocking lightly on the door he waited for someone to answer. He had some explaining to do.

Dear Penny, do give us the skinny on the Socials. What's been up with them lately?
Dear Anonymous Reader,
They keep their secrets under fake smiles and fancy lock boxes, but as any good journalist knows, it takes a little reading between the lines. Our Socials don’t have it together as much as they like to close their eyes and pretend they do. Andy Moore has seemingly dropped off the planet, even supposed bestie, Louise Rafferty has no idea where he’s run off to, burn much? May explain her strange behavior: the hair cut, the bridge dancing, the Mel’s trip with a certain Mama Greaser. That Deb’s delight, Brett Kelly, has returned to the lovely ladies of Tulsa, but those who were hoping to snatch him up for the dance will be disappointed. Brynn Turner has already beat you to it. I guess the Madden dreamboat was already spoken for, Miss Turner? (I’m not letting this rumor die so easily, doves.) That’s all I got for now, can’t spill all my secrets in one letter, can I?
Sincerely yours,
Penny Lane
What do you think of Lou, Brett, Seth, Carmen, Hailey, and Madelyn?
That’s quite a list, so I’m just going to do the first thing that pops in my head.
Louise: She’s fantastic, a truly extraordinary woman, and I’m glad we’re becoming good friends now.
Brett: My shark-wrestling best friend is my rock and my safety net. I wouldn’t be who I am without him.
Seth: The funniest boy I’ve ever met in my life, he’s a joy to be around, and I’ll never forget the kindness that he’s shown me when he owed me nothing.
Carmen: Honestly? She scares me a little. I feel like I’ve poked an angry mama bear and I’m still running.
Hailey: A phenomenal woman, braver than anyone I’ve ever known, and I will stand by her always.
Madelyn: I miss my friend, and I hate what Tre did to her. I won’t stop until she’s free to be herself, out from under his manipulations.
Walk beside me // Brynn & Louise
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend. -- Albert Camus
Brynn laid the Penny Lane gossip column back down on her bed as a quiet stillness came over her room. She sat cross-legged as she read the woman's curious twist on events, dreading the potential backlash on the rumor over her and Cade. No one actually believed these words, did they? What left a truly bitter taste in her mouth is what was only given a dismissive sentence. Louise Rafferty was seen hanging off a bridge. Whether the incident was taken out of context, the warped twisting of a gossip queen, Brynn needed to know if her friend was okay.
Scooting to the edge of the bed, she disentangled her legs and her feet met the floor in her hurried rush. Throwing on a jacket her mother had bought for her at Christmastime, she slipped her feet into some sensible heels and was bounding out of her room and down the stairs. Something felt uneasy in her chest, and she wasn't about to let someone else down out of her own innate blindness to other people's inner leanings towards self-destruction.
Within half an hour from reading the article, she was at the Rafferty's home and let inside where she waited for Louise to come down. The sound of beautiful cello music drifted down from the distance, bringing a peace to her soul over the heavenly notes. Soon it stopped, and Brynn listened to the sound of footsteps before turning her head back with a soft greeting, "Louise, care for a walk?"
