#louis thoughts

To add to this really good take, for me the issue has just been pushed over the top with his comments the last few weeks about basically how lucky he is that no one expects anything of him. I saw him last summer in Florida - the show was good, but slightly disappointing. I’m not someone who goes to sit super close or get into lots of fan things - but I enjoy the music and seeing my faves live and it was fine, just not really memorable. It’s one thing though to sort of feel that he isn’t really pushing himself, it’s entirely another to hear him say it out loud. And he has said this twice now!

My interest in Louis as a musician is really waning. This has zero to do with Larry, or sexual orientation, or BBG, or fans at the show. It’s just about my enjoyment of a product. And we deserve more than to hear how happy he is that his fans standards are so low.

It makes me sad, but I think Louis seems to think he’s found his sweet spot, so I can’t really see him moving past it.

Im really curious how he will fare this festival summer, this might just be the wake up call he needs, an audience that’s more diverse and not as easily pleased just by him showing up and I think he needs that.

I think you've mentioned before that you think Louis is getting a bit complacent or too comfortable. Do you share similar thoughts?

I feel like @alarrytale has put what I’m feeling really well into words - I might not 100% agree with everything (for example I don’t think the fans will drop him as a result, at least not a sizeable amount - but then again is the question is that the fans he wants?) but that is what I see him heading towards, too.

I think really the big question here is does he want that? Is that really where he sees himself going? Because I don’t think so. I do believe he’s not seeing it very clearly right now and he is becoming complacent and I do believe he does need a kind of wake up call (it doesn’t need to be a rude one at all, could be a stimulating conversation with a friend) to kind of get his sight back on it. Because he does want to strive for better. He does think he can reach more and do better - otherwise he’d never signed up for X Factor or try again and again to bring out his own music and go on tour. He just needs a little guidance by someone who’s smart and got his actual best interest at heart, I think.

To my mind, all we can do is keep streaming and talking about the song. We can comment on positive press.
