Behold the Jewish queen . I've been laughing for 15 min after I finished to do this.
Under the cut because... Yes 🤭.
What it makes me laugh the most, isn't so much the difference between her and James (that holy shit, seeing it it's something else*) but the fact that Rose built a reputation when she's.... That thang. 😂 The closer you're to hell... The only one there that couldn't recoil is Jared.
Last year when I found Little Lou's fc made me laugh that the actor is that tall and I kept it because Samuel was a little shit towards Rose when was growing up so karma came and kicked his ass. Little Lou is avenging his sister 🤭
*I love the difference between James and Rose, who I'm kidding. One could understand why he's so protective of her. I tried to make her 5cm taller but the result was the same, so I went back to that one 🤭. She wears heels, don't worry.

I have this hc about Rose and Samuel, when Rose was around 7, ignored Samuel (4) for about two days, maybe more, making him believe that didn't exist or at least couldn't see him 😂. If their parents talk to the boy, then Rose asked who they were talking to. Eventually had mercy of him.
Samuel's revenge came years later when read out loud Rose's diary and the family learned that Rose like one of her schoolmates 🤭.
Rose/Samuel @ Louis: baby boy ❤️.
Rose @ Samuel and vice versa: shithead.
They love each other to death, obviously. But Rose and Sam are, above all, siblings 😂.
House Coldwell is relatively new. Founded around 80 years ago, it was their great-grandfather who founded it after the Targaryen ruling in that moment gifted the lands in the Reach to him. It took over a decade, but finally the new lord had his castle named Thorn Tower. For three generations nothing happened until a night, 15 years ago, the five new Coldwells living in there woke up with the sound of horses whinnying and the knights yelling and setting everything on fire. Rose, back then only 15, took Louis (4) and ran away. Samuel (13), tried to fought next to his father but the last command Lord Coldwell gave him was to hide with his two siblings. The three escaped but their parents didn't. The knights charging against the castle and its owners and finished with their lives. They even killed the servants. They thought they killed the three children, too.
It happened in just a couple of hours. Fast enough for the knights to escape because all this happened in the back of the Kingdom and the Tyrells ruling over the Reach. None knew what happened until much later when they saw the ruins of the castle and the corpses.
To protect themselves, the children changed their names to Flowers.
The heirs bastards:
And how they survived, how the bond Rose-Samuel is completely broken and Louis' fate is part of the story.

2 years before the wedding.
At that time the three Coldwells, now Flowers, lived in a dirty room that Rose and Samuel managed to rent with their works. They've been living there for the last two years. She was still under the orders of Ravella, the old woman who designed the clothes for the Queen Consort and her daughter. The payment was enough for them to eat and live and Samuel working as assistant of an old maester helped with the rest but that meant that the older Coldwells were away most part of the day, leaving their little brother alone and sadly there wasn't any other options. The best days were those when Rose could work there, keeping an eye on the little one while helped him to read and write. It didn't matter what could happen to them in the future, it was important that Louis could understand on his own everything that was happening around him from now on.
It cost them, the three of them, time to get used to their new lives. Samuel and Rose barely spoke about their parents and the tragic night but Louis still asked for a mother and father that slowly, day after day, he began to forget. But after a year living in King's Landing, not even Louis asked for them and the three siblings made an implicit pact of silence about who they were in the past. It didn't matter anymore because now they were three orphans from the Reach that none care about. They had eachother and that was all mattered.
Two years passed and Louis, now six, was allowed to travel the streets around their room. Not very far away but Rose let him see the markets and talk to some people, those who were kind to them.
The boy was going to regret what he did all his life but he wanted to prove himself. He wanted to prove that he was worth and not the little boy he was when left Thorn Tower. His siblings were almost adults and Louis was sure that Rose was flirting with the young man that sold fruits. Every time she went to his stall, she returned with juicy fruits and vegetables that the three of them enjoyed. Maybe it was matter of time before she was going to announce her marriage to him, something that the kid hated it. Louis knew Rose could never left him for some seller, but it was a feeling he couldn't avoid. And definitely she could do better than marry that guy who didn't inspire confidence in Louis at all.
The day that Louis disappeared was the day that the Coldwells died completely. He wanted to prepare a meal for his siblings, Mrs. Waters the owner of the inn taught him to cook eggs and soup, so that was going to be his surprise for his siblings. He had vegetables but didn't have eggs. The jar with coins was empty so the solution he found was stealing them. Maybe Rose could apologize later and pay for those eggs. It was a mischief, nothing serious, but stealing in King's Landing was a crime.
"Thief!" yelled the old man. Laughing, Louis escaped avoiding people, horses and dogs. He was fast. When Samuel had time, he took him to the river and both ran together through the shore. Several times Louis beat him, to his own happiness. He wasn't far away from the room. He could make it.
Only he didn't.
A pair of strong arms, caught him before Louis could react and didn't matter how much he yelled and bit, the strong man didn't release him. The eggs broke on the dirty ground.
"Yer going to have plenty of space to run where we going, rat."
Louis kicked him, but despite his efforts he was just a boy and the other was a grown up man.
_________
Rose knocked the door of Samuel's workplace. The smell of candles and ink welcomed her, but instead of seeing his sister's smile as it was frequent Samuel saw her tears and didn't like that at all.
"He's not there," she said. "He's missing."
Both siblings asked everyone they could have help. They all saw Louis running but after that the versions began to change. Some said that went to the river, others that they saw him talking to other kids, others mentioned a big bearded man.
The very first days Rose and Samuel didn't sleep. They took turns to search for him. Samuel even jumped into the river because maybe he drowned. They went to Flea Bottom together and found things that wasn't appropriate for them and even less a little boy. There were kids, but luckily wasn't him. Both preferred to ignore, and forget, the fate of those kids in hands of pervert old people.
Even when it was good that Louis wasn't one of them, the youngest Coldwell wasn't anywhere. And along with the days and nights without him, the relationship between the other two began to broke. They blamed mutually for Louis' disappearance. The anger and frustration that both of them had since they left the Reach but they hid, now resurfaced and caused damage. Still kids themselves, not losing just their parents but their six year old brother, Rose and Samuel said things they shouldn't and they didn't apologize.
Rose lived there for other two months, but tired and full of sadness and despair, she moved into the Red Keep and not longer after, Samuel found a nice place for himself. The room that once three siblings shared was now inhabited by two prostitutes and their old dog.
In silence, both Samuel and Rose kept looking for Louis. She even went to the Crowlands but there was no sign of the boy.
_________
The cold made his bones ache. The fur he was covered with belonged to an adolescent he died three weeks ago and he kept it for himself, but as they were approaching the North, that simple fur wasn't enough.
The Wall. They were taking him to the Wall just for stealing some eggs. The first night, Louis cried asking for his sister. Rose could fix it, make it nicer like the dresses she made, only she wasn't there to comfort him, she wasn't there to kiss his forehead and told him that everything was going to be fine. Samuel wasn't there either to tell him stories of brave knights fighting dragons or adventures their father had when was younger. Instead was a group of alcoholic, some mercenaries and two other boys, one of them was really sick.
Three months later they were in the heart of the cold forest. Louis never stopped thinking about his siblings but now was on his own and he knew that. He needed to fight somehow. They barely fed them, so he felt weak and tired but still needed to try his luck.
It happened a sunrise. Louis waited for the opportunity for days now. His captors opened his handcuffs when he said he wanted to pee, but not always closed them again. Most of the time because wine and swearing was most important, others because every time they passed for a village and they had fun with women. The night before, was because wine clouded their minds. Louis pretended his handcuffs were closed and laid next to the fire before everyone else, eventually fall asleep, too. Lot of them were snoring.
He needed to run. Maybe was some village he could hide in. Anything was better than the Wall. The boy knew he was quick and if he wanted to make his siblings proud, that was the moment.
The first rays of sun caught him still running in the forest. His lungs were burning, his legs ached but Louis knew he needed to keep going. His face was now full of little cuts and was bleeding but he didn't care, he needed to out some distance between him and his captors.
He didn't see the figure in middle of the Forest holding a sword. Louis hit the body and fell on the snow.
"Please, no!! I don't want to go! Please!"
That was the first time the boy spoken and also cried. He didn't say a word since they left King's landing in that old carriage with other prisoners. It was better don't talk, like Rose taught him.
But instead of seeing an unfriendly man, Louis saw a young man. Probably an adolescent, like the one he saw die. Although this one was clearly healthy and rich. His sword was longer than Louis himself and his black cape probably was heavier than he was, especially after three months eating anything but soup. Instead of a fist, Louis found a hand that helped him to stood up and a kind smile.
"Who are you, boy? Who is after you?"
"They say they work for the Night's Watch," Louis said and didn't care that new tears were falling down his cheeks. "They want me to take there, m'lord!"
"Aren't you too young? How old are you?"
"Six."
"Shit. Tell me your name."
"Louis Waters," he said. Rose also taught him to lie about his identity and not for the first time he did it. He wasn't Flowers anymore, he chose to be a bastard from King's Landing.
"Jay Stark is my name," the unknown adolescent said and Louis gasped. "Do not fear, kid. These are our lands, you're safe. They are going to face more than me and the sword if they try something, I'm afraid they're not part of the Night's Watch, so you're lucky kid. Tell me, Waters, are you alone?"
Louis hesitated. He had Rose and Samuel, but both were far away and there was no way they could know where he was. He missed them, but couldn't see them again if he was to the Wall. So he lied again, "yes."
_________
Jared and James were training when the gates of Winterfell opened and they saw their brother being followed by a kid. They stared at eachother as they left their swords on the ground. The youngest one followed by Louis approached them.
"You can't collect children every time you go outside, Jay." The way Jared said it, seemed like that wasn't the first time he did that and probably wasn't going to be the last.
"I'm not collecting children! I was hunting when I saw him. Are you aware the Night's Watch is the one collecting people to dump them in the Wall?"
"They don't do that."
"I have news for you, then," Jay stated. He smiled, looking at the child that was hiding behind him. "His name is Louis Waters. I need an apprentice, he's staying here and will be my responsibility."
"Will he?"
This time weren't his brothers who talked but their Lord Father. Jared I, wasn't tall as James was or gracious as his firstson, but he won his reputation for a reason. The three of them bowed their heads in front of him, instinctively. His eyes, cold as ice, examined the bastard head to toe.
"We don't make charity here, Jay."
"I know, father," he rushed to replied. "I just saved him."
"Did you?" the older man, smirked. "Was it wise to bring him here, son?"
Jay gulped. He didn't suffer his punishments as much as his two brothers but that didn't mean he wasn't victim too. Through the corner of his eyes, Jay saw the other two. Their swords were on the ground were they left them and he thought if any of them regretted it.
"If you touch this boy, I swear I will kill you."
Maybe his eldest son didn't have his sword but the dagger in his hand was held firmly. Jared II was twenty years old now and the days where his father could hurt any of them were behind them. Yet, the ghosts were still present. The three brothers still had nightmares, still respected their father out of fear and still knew he was a dangerous man.
"You would like that, don't you?"
"James," Jared II said, his eyes on his father, "take the boy out of here. Jay, give orders to prepare food, a bath and bed for him."
"Ah, my heir giving orders as if he was already ruling here" lord Stark let out a chuckle that didn't sound funny at all, it sounded tenebrous. "I'd like to ssy I'm proud... but I'm not. Don't forget which is your place and which is mine. Anyway," the man said, "we're not talking about you and me, but the bastard your brother brought. He can stay if he's useful. And, Jared, when you want to kill someone you don't warn, you do."
His father left, leaving his son with words in his mouth that couldn't say.
.
"Am I in trouble?" the kid asked James as he guided through the castle to the servants' quarters.
"No, you're not. You're safe, my brother took you under his wing so you're going to be fine. Father isn't going to bother you, don't worry. But you need to behave, did you hear?"
"Yes, lord Stark," Louis said as he looked at the tall wolf next to him. He was the kind of man his sister liked. Louis thought that if Rose was there it could take very little time for her to daydream about him.
Jay ordered a maid to give clean clothes appropriate for the cold weather to Louis and help him with the bath, if it was necessary. In a couple of hours, he went from a kid covered in mug and blood to a boy that seemed healthier than the bastards Jay tried to help before. He was well educated and kind. He ate until his stomach was full and slept for almost a whole day.
He woke up not knowing what time it was but it was still dark. The bed was comfortable and he covered himself with the blanket they gave him. He was safe and that was a feeling he didn't have in months. The food was delicious and the Stark brothers were kind to him, especially Jay that he owed him a lot. Could he make it back to King's Landing? Probably not alone and he had no right to ask the Starks such thing. Maybe he needed to wait.
Winterfell wasn't bad, apparently, and there were nice people. Unlike Samuel and Rose, Louis didn't know at all that the Starks were the responsible for the death of their parents. His siblings never mentioned in front of him.
He covered his mouth with the sheets when he noticed he was crying. He didn't want to make any noise. Winterfell wasn't bad but his sister wasn't there. Rose wasn't there to help him to sleep or to sing some lullaby. Nor tell him that everything was going to be fine, as she hugged him tenderly. When the six years old boy fall asleep again, he was still crying.
________
Two years later, he was now eight and every day he forced himself to keep the memories of his siblings alive. He didn't remember his parents anymore but refused to lost Rose and Samuel, too. The last days were chaotic because a wedding was going to happen in the Dreadfort and the three brothers plus their cousin were going there. Louis was curious about the event, he never was in one but according to his sister's words were fun and the guests always seemed to be in a good mood during the celebrations.
The way to Dreadfort was going to take several days, not counting the week the wolves planned to stay there. So Louis didn't have any news about them until they returned about a month later.
"Where's James?" he asked Jay when only him , Jared and Aron arrived there.
Jay shook his head "Fucking James met a girl during the wedding," Jay said picking up a hammer to work with his apprentice. "He lost his mind when they met and apparently she lost it, too. He stayed with her and are going to King's Landing together."
"Your Lord father knows?"
"Jared is talking to him about it and I don't know how he can react. But dishonouring him it won't be possible because that's something that could make James very happy and our father, if you didn't notice it, isn't ready to see us happy."
"Sounds bad. But at least James can be happy with her in the meantime, doesn't he? What's the lady name?"
"I guess so. And… no, she's not a lady. That's the problem. She's a bastard from the Reach, works for the princess. A seamstress."
Louis stopped working to look at him, his heart began to race. No, it couldn't be her. It could not be her.
"Rose is the name," Jay said unaware of the boy's thoughts. "You should see her. Not my type, but pretty enough for James to go crazy. She's more or less the same height you're now."
It was her, obviously it was her. Louis didn't know if he wanted to scream or cry. He knew as soon as he arrived there two years ago, that James was the kind of man Rose could like but never imagined it was going to be possible. The gentle Stark and his sister were together and despite everything, despite he missed her and have a lot of questions such as if she kept looking for him, Louis felt relief.
"He's going to take care of her, right?"
Jay furrowed "what are you talking about?"
"She's a woman, I saw men hurting women and it wasn't nice."
"No, it's not. You know my brother, he couldn't hurt a lady. Especially if she has something that made him be reckless. She's safe."
Louis just nodded and kept working in silence as Jay and focused on the sword that was making as well.
If they were together, then James could come home with her and then, Louis could see her sister again. He just needed to wait.
And knowing a secret that none else knew, Louis waited for Rose eleven years from that moment. Thirteen since stupid circumstances separated them.
The sound of the horses alerted everyone in Winterfell. A very tall and already an adult Louis, spied from the distance. Over a decade had passed…
The door of the carriage was opened and a short woman jumped out of it with James' help. The man smiled at her. There was a baby in her arms.

They thought that spending an evening at the fair could help James to win his little brother-in-law, but Louis wasn't going to make the things easier for them.
He hates his sister's boyfriend. That thief, James Thorne. Or like he calls him: the leprechaun 🍀🇮🇪.
I'm writing this and it's coming "soon". Based on this.
I can't help but imagine Louis, little Lou, jealous of James because his sister now spends 90% of her free time with her boyfriend and not him.
She's 20. It means Louis is just 9. The bond between them is strong because she was always there for him when he came back from school or was sick or helped him with his homework etc... And now this stranger took her from him? I'm sure the boy has some nicknames for James 🤭.
(She didn't abandon her little brother, but Louis is right that she spends too much time with him. Eventually he'll understand but it'll take him several months... Only for her to move in definitely with James 😂. Poor kid.)
