Below are some headcanons I've made for my Burning Gods AU [fic here], which follows Daenys "the Dreamer" as she tries to save her kin from the coming Doom. None of this is canon, but I've based it roughly on what little we know of the Freehold in ASOIAF.

The Freehold is ruled by the Sytiotāpȳrro Ezīmillio Zaldrīzāeksia (Council of [dragon]Lords Freeholder), made up of the heads of the 40 houses who bond with dragons. The houses are of various standings, based on social hierarchy and delineation- such as wealth and number of dragonriders- presided over by 14 Judlia (Archons) elected by the Council from within the Houses for a life term. While this may lead to long periods of rule, assassination of the Archons is not uncommon. House Targaryen is one of the lower houses within the Council during the time of 102 BC.

Within the Freehold, three main classes exist: Dragonlords, Freeborn, and Slaves. The hierarchy, including class-specific hierarchies, is as follows, though it should be noted that individuals within the Freehold may have different opinions about the order of class-specific hierarchies:

Zaldrīzāeksia (Dragonlords): Those who may claim dragons, believed to be linked to blood purity and the Gods' favor. 1a. Angrostyssy (Blood mages) 1b. Sētenosotyssy Korzio (Valyrian steel smiths/metallurgists) 1c. Voktys hen Izulyz Ampā Perzyssy (Priest(esses) of the Fourteen Flames)

Hen siñot dāez (Freeborn): Those born free, but outside of the line of dragonlords; commonfolk 2a. Urneryssy (Dragonkeepers) 2b. Angrostyssy (Blood mages) 2c. Sētenosotyssy Korzio (Valyrian steel smiths/metallurgists) 2d. Voktys hen Izulyz Ampā Perzyssy (Priest(esses) of the Fourteen Flames) 2e. Everyday laborers such as Bāngetyssy (Bakers), Grozurliotyssy (Farmers), Rhakityssy (Weavers), etc 2f. Dohaertrossa (Former slaves)

Blood Purity is considered extremely important to many of the Council, as to keep the power of dragons within the Council's control. While house members may marry non-dragonriders, such as Aenar did with his wives, it is considered a waste of potential and even a risk to do so, even if the non-riders are of the lines of Dragonblood themselves. Many consider it important to keep the line(s) of riders unbroken through generations and to leave the 'lesser' occupations (mages, priests, smiths, etc) to freeborn families.

Within the Ānogroti Lettir (Order of Blood Mages), there are various paths a priestess can take, each with various specializations that can be chosen. While all undertake the path of Ānogrose as their foundational understanding, individuals may choose a path to follow. Below are some examples of the sub-classes under each path

Ānogrose (blood magic) deals with spells and is the framework around which all other magics are performed.

Gīso Sētera (magics of the spirit) derives from Ānogrose, and is used by priestesses in the Flesh Pits of Gogossos to create monstrous beings of man and monster. It is largely considered taboo, but is still practiced

Sētekȳso (metallurgy) includes the smithing of Valyrian Steel and the path of pyromancy, as well as the physical manipulation of abiotic entities

Dōrenko Sētera (geomancy) includes the manipulation and shaping of stone or other earthen abiotic materials

Zgiēñemvoso (healing) is the magic of the body and biotic entities, such as through healing and physical manipulation

Like how would the characters react?

Who would believe it and fight?

Who would do a Cersei and leave the heroes to it?

Which characters would perish?

Who would deliver the final blow to the Night King? (If they even manage to kill him)

The more I think about it, the more I want to see something like this written.

Her presence acted as a final reprieve for King Aerys. While the later births of Viserys and Daenerys occurred amidst total paranoia, Shaena thrived in that earlier, flickering light. She and Rhaegar alone remember the man who existed before the madness, shielding the king from his demons long before the cradle was filled again.

She and Rhaegar share a secret bond. They are the only ones who remember their father before the shadows took him.
