I wanted to share a louffa plant update!

Here's what we harvested off the plant~

A lot more than we truly expected!

Here's a few pics of some being peeled, takes a bit of time, kinda boring and fairly flakey

All peeled and ready to be used! Theres a much smaller one that's already been claimed by the kitchen sink~

I've waited and tried about 3/4 years for louffas to grow and finally this was the year!

The louffa itself wasnt as... 'thick' as I thought it'd be and peeling it is a bit annoying, but I'm very happy for an organic non plastic sponge!

The plant itself is very lovely, super lush with good care and can definatly be used as a shade cover plant. Bees, butterflies and the occasional hummingbird loved the flowers and when the flowers fell my chickens loved to snack on em~

Overall I will grow them again, though I'm thinking this time I'll do so in a spot to spread em out more.

Pulled the squash and are working on getting rows raked of kitty poo, as cats have now decided parts of my rows are okay to use :( working on a way to deter them without harming if i can.

One of the broccoli finally have a head! Its the smallest freaking broc plant but the only one with a head now 😂

The michihilli canbage has gone and is going to seed, think this bear i might get lucky before the birds get em all i just have to figure out a good way to collect them that won't disturb the bees doing their thing. I love seeing the happy pollinators bumbling round n round makes me incredibly happy!

The beans are just bout done too. I didn't really get to eat much off em, so I'll let these ones go to seed. Gonna leave this up here I think and use as a pea trellis again.

The sugar snap daddy peas got flicking tall! I couldn't get it all in the pic! Just as a heads up this trellis is probably about 7 feet tall if not a bit taller!

I think I'm gonna leave this one here too and plant some more tall beans here, mayby some kabocha squash and a louffa to rotate

My louffas got fruits!!!! :'D

After almost 3 years of attempts there might be some washing louffas in my future!!!

I started to collect shirts from every concert I went to but the last concert I went to was One Direction and all their tops were aimed at 5 year olds (no exaggeration ahhahaha) so I kind of failed! I'll start again in a couple of weeks and Ellie Goulding and Bastille for sure! xx
