Help me find the Yaoi!!!
Ok so basically, when I was younger and had a pirated manga app on my kindle tablet I read a lot of yaoi. Recently I've been trying to find the ones I've read that I remember and for the most part they've been easy to find. However, to this day there is one that I just can't find anywhere. Do I know the name, no. Do I remember any character names, no.
But what I do remember is the dynamic of the two main characters. One guy is followed by rain everywhere he goes ever since he was born. The other is the opposite, everywhere he goes it's always sunny ever since he was born. The two meet and stuff happens of course, but the scene that sticks in my head the most is the sunny boy trying to get the rain away by making Teru Teru Bozu with the rain boy. Fun fact, this manga introduced me to the charm and now it's one of my favorite things to make and I'm obsessed with them lol.
Anyways back on track. After being stuck inside because the rain, stuff happens they eventually fuck and then there's a shot of the Teru Teru Bozu hanging and the rain goes away. After that I have no idea what happens because I don't even think I got to the ending before the app I used vanished and stopped working. Another detail I remember is the art style is definitely of the 2010's maybe even in the middle of it. The manga cover was colorful and kinda reminded me of water colors. The main characters had red and blue hair, or at least that's how it was shaded in the art. Also one was holding an umbrella I just don't remember which one. Now I know I said I don't remember the title but I could have sworn it had something to do with rain and sun.
Oh and that just reminded me, the translation I read also referred to the characters as a rain man and a sun man or some approximation and the way it was phrased was as if it came from an actual Japanese word that meant rain man and sun man. Though unfortunately I could never confirm this since nothing ever popped up but either way I thought someone more well versed might know if this is relevant or true.
That is all I have to go off of unfortunately, but if any of y'all find it I will be very appreciative because you have no Idea how much I've wanted to reread it and see if it still holds up or at least know it actually existed! Please and thank you!
I don't think Jack ever truly got over Hurley deciding to go with Locke in the first episode of season 4, i feel it broke something in him. the thing is i don't think Jack really sees it as Hurley coming to his own conclusion and following his instincts and more Hurley betraying him, cause Jack doesn't really think of Hurley as someone who's capable of those kinds of decisions, this directly tying into Jack's ableism complex.
In season 4 where Jack is in his substance abuse era he pill he takes is Cloazepam which happens to be the same medication Hurley takes, Which could mean nothing
JackHurley is my favorite Lost ship and it's also a dynamic i read as having a lot of parental subtext, personally those two parts co-exist to me because a massive part of that ship is Hurley's misplaced daddy issues and Jack unknowingly playing Christian Shephard simulator

Another part of JackHurley i think about a lot of the Hurley as a dog angle, in the context of Lost Hurley often gets dehumanized, both by the narrative which in my opinion is both intentional and unintentional stemming from a mix of writers with very different ideas of how they wanna handle him (a lot of them having issues with ableism), and the people around him, Jack especially, Jack's role as both a leader and a doctor means that he's inherently in a position of power over Hurley, who is meek, schizophrenic and has a history of institutionalization.
I also find it interesting how despite clearly liking him Jack doesn't treat Hurley as the same level as the rest of the men, it seems to more mirror the way he handles the women in his life, protective, humored instead of listened to, second class citizens basically, Hurley isn't seen as a grown man in the same way as the rest of them, so when Hurley actually does make his own decisions, like im the beginnings of season 4 when he decides to go with Locke, Jack sees it as betrayal because Jack doesn't see Hurley as someone who can make big decisions separate from him.
I've talked before about my take about Jack's role as a leader also being a very paternal role for him, he's the patriarch, the father, and Hurley more than the rest of islanders believes in it, Hurley's mix of Abandonment issues, self hate and submission to people he sees as authority figures leads to him following Jack around wagging his tail no matter how many times Jack Hits him with a slipper.
My Post-Lost BenHurley interpretation is that they're both extremely fucked up over their respective dead guy (Locke and Jack) so they keep fucking and sucking each other off and neither of them really enjoys it and the entire time they're thinking about their respective toxic situationship, this continues for decades.
BenHurley to me<3
My take that the relationship between Jack and Hurley can be read as very paternal doesn't take away from the fundamental yaoi of it, infact i would argue it adds to it, truly the Walter and Jesse of their time
