I saw you were doing fandom classpects and even ones made on the spot. So I propose a challenge. You know about the fandom classpects such as Waste and Gent. But those are more centered around actual ways to describe a person. So Someone could be called a Gent. Or a Knight. What if the class was something less ironclad? What if the classpect was called "Loss of Life"? How would you explain something as abstract as that?
Glad to see youâre interested in challenging me! Loss of Life⌠Glad as I am that youâve followed the monosyllabic rule, that certainly is abstract.
But then, the Waste is an abstract class too, so lets work this like the Waste. Wastes are named as such because they would suitably be called a waste of their aspect, someone who misuses and abuses it to start off. So a Loss would be someone who would be called a loss of it, due to how miserably they seem to use it to start off. Perhaps some mix of a Prince and a Muse would be best, someone who is talented in their aspect, but is destructive of and/or with it and doesnât seem to understand it.
So our Loss of Life would be someone whoâs great with life, but also terrible at it. Every attempt ion their life to utilize it backfires, as their eager energy puts others off, perhaps they tried gardening and now plants riddle their home, growing where they shouldnât, or perhaps they enjoy cooking in spite of being absurdly terrible at it. Whatever the case, they have an interest in an aspect they donât understand, and both themselves and others suffer the consequences for this.
As they progress, they begin to see the broader impact of their actions, much as a Thief might. Fortunately, their attempts at Life are plainly genuine, and so the only way theyâve hurt their reputation is seeming to be a lost cause. At this point, they begin to try to understand Life, leaving behind all their past attempts. Perhaps even going so far as to abandon their home and start anew, only returning to the place for alchemy and reaching their gates. They explore a Land designed to teach them Life once they come to realize that they need to learn it, and while the Land makes this hard for them, the Loss of Life will continue as theyâve nothing to lose. Â Eventually, their land would lead them to their Quest bed, and chances are good that their final trail of Life before god tiering would be to repair it. Whatever theyâve done in the past destructively with life seems to be reflected in the damaged slab before them, perhaps cracked by roots, bent by some energetic consort, stained with mold, some manner of Life based destruction. And they would, by now, have some control over Life, enough to repair it. Plants are withdrawn, cracks sealed with dust and pushed together by vines, bends forced back into shape by their own energy. And once they god tier, they only continue to learn Life, but now they are ready to return to what they left behind.
The Loss develops further as they begin to tie life back to what they started with, still a largely destructive force in the session, but now one that can control that destruction. They return to their friends with proof of their growth, and they begin to observe Life in a much less direct atmosphere than their Landâs, learning to see Life in many things, both where itâs good, and where itâs bad.Â
As far as powers, itâs pretty much like a Prince of Life on steroids, with the price that they, like the Muse, have to figure out how their powers work on their own and use their powers in a manner close to their original ties to Life. Destruction of buildings comes easily to a gardener, vines and roots pulling apart a structure easily, but a chef would be more attuned to things like poisons and heat, destroying Life already present. One whoâs energy was behind their destruction may specialize in  strengthening themselves and their friends in combat, multiplying their combat efforts. But a gardener would never quite have the knack of the skills of the other two, and vice versa.
(I may design an outfit for this class, but in the mean time, placeholder text)
