Today I'm sharing my thoughts on Enemy Tribe as part of the book tour hosted by Love Books Tours. Thank you for my spot on the tour and for the book in exchange for an honest review. 𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 I’ve been I looking forward to reading Enemy Tribe since finishing Daughter Of Ninmah. I must admit that I did enjoy this book more than its two predecessors. This was so well written that I felt carried back in time to witness events and the harshness of the freezing cold environment. The story of forbidden love had a Romeo and Juliet vibe to it, and I could empathise with Nyrjanna's struggles. There was more superb character development, especially for Nyriaana, although the large cast was occasionally confusing, which broke the flow of the story for me. That said, it didn't adversely affect how much I enjoyed the read. Overall, I thought this was a thrilling, exciting, and a fitting continuation of The Ancestors Saga, and I'm looking forward to reading book four. 𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 This is the second in The Ancestors Saga, and I think an improvement on book one The Forbidden. Our ancesters, early humans, are still fighting the elements, predators and each other, for survival. I found, again, that I was transported back in time to join them on their journey. I had real feelings of excitement, terror, and sadness. I fell completely under the spell of the Ninkuraa and Wove, and their seeming fight to the death. But as with all things, a measure of cooperation and understanding is always the better path. The brutality of that period is raw yet compelling. If this book is a measure of the way things are going with the series, I can’t wait to read book three Enemy Tribe. I recommend this book, but I think you will appreciate it more if you read book one first. Thank you for my spot on the tour and for the copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. 𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 The Forbidden is the first in the Ancestors Saga, and it is a great start. Set in a time where prehistoric civilisation is fighting for survival in an increasingly inhospitable climate, this book had excitement, fear, adventure, and emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and was totally engrossed in the brutal, time period with the constant fight for survival. It really was survival of the fittest. I found myself rooting for Rebaa, a strong, independent, believable, character, throughout. The way the environment was written allowed me to travel back and feel part of the action and visualise each scene. I love that in a book. Overall, I’m so glad I was introduced to Reeba and the Ancestor’s Saga, and recommend it to all readers.
