Troll loa worship is highly localized and differs tribe to tribe, city to city. The greatest, most powerful loa are typically worshiped by the nation as a whole, hence why different nations and tribes worship different loa pantheons. In turn, cities have their own civic deities. Zandalari families (and perhaps all trolls by extension) also worship their own family loa, which are typically weaker loa [Object: Shadows of the Loa, Quest: Lurkers].
A line from the Frayed Zandalari Journal reads, “I spoke to my spirits. The old loa Grimath, who entered my chest as a child, who guided my hand when I bent the neck of my own direhorn.” This quote may be referring to a specific family loa, but it could even be implying that this troll, if not also every troll, worships and has a connection with their own individual loa. To extrapolate some more, this might suggest that each troll chooses or is chosen by a specific loa that they worship and maintain a connection with during their lifetime.
