Thoughts on Season 2 Episode 7
Spoilers, obviously
This episode was so bizarre, I was honestly not expecting the sci-fi elements. I should read the last star festival episode to compare it with this one, but in hindsight, the first star festival really was the bad ending. Mio kept a cool head, which is why I think that they got so far, not to mention that Jin was putting belt to ass when he arrived. Lucas gets sidetracked so easily, and Ren does not wanna be there. Which I get⦠as a Ren lover, I loved that he was in this episode, on the other hand, he shouldāve just stayed at home with his attitudeš Like damn, if I was MC Iād be hella annoyed. Iāve been both people, and it sucks either way lmao. It doesnāt help that he doesnāt take MCās curse seriously, or the riddle, all I want to do is yell āSHEāS DYING OH MY GOOOD!ā
I can see why a lot of the ghouls like Mio though, he naturally adopts a peacekeeper role and calms people down. Hell, he can handle people like Taiga and Shion, which I can imagine are not easy to keep in line.
Circling back to the star festival being the bad ending, there were a lot of factors that helped the ghouls this time. A large part of it was Mio. Dionysia really impacts the story this time around, while nothing changed in the end, Mio was the entire reason why they got to figure out the Sky Kings riddle.
Alan was lost in the forest during the first one, and the ghouls prioritized getting him home instead of coming across the land of exile. Even if they did, they most likely didnāt have a way to build the magpies bridge without Mio fixing the clockwork mechanism he gave to Haru.
As much as I dislike Jinās attitude, he actually helped them solved the riddle. As much as it pains me to say it, they probably wouldnāt have gotten far without Jinās guidance š¤¦āāļø People can disagree with me on that, but they most likely wouldāve ran out of time if he wasnāt there.
Anyways, moving on, Jin was so salty towards the Sky King that it made me giggle lmao.
Hello š I swear, guys, he got so jelly. And likeā¦
Now⦠Iām not saying this is Jin⦠but there is a possibility š
On a side note, the sky king was so cute this episode. Like, he was already cute, but the fact that they literally became Orihime and Hikoboshi tore me apart. He was so alone š and his promise to come back to MC š and saying that heāll come back every year to see her š UGHHH absolute cuties, I live for this š®āšØ
Something tells me Kaito is gonna have a very rude awakening at some point
About Ren and Shion, it was cool seeing them get along but I knew it wasnāt gonna last long, seeing the kind of person that he is. He doesnāt like when people compliments Mioās work, and Shion immediately loses interest when people arenāt scared of him. A very weird guy, but, it was funny how he walked away when he realized that the Sinostra grunt didnāt actually have prizes.
Anyways, thatās all I have, brain is too mushy to talk about any theories ^^ There are smarter people who can do that for me :3
