As much as I disliked Tyrande's attitude towards Illidan, I do agree she NEVER used his feelings for her against him. Tyrande always remained Indifferent towards his "advances". The whole love triangle situation is not comfortable to begin with, especially with a guy who just won't let go after you made your choice.

Oh, I’ll be the first to acknowledge her attitude towards him was really shitty. Even though I don’t think she should react the way Illidan wanted her to, I do agree that the way she acts isn’t good either --- she was one of those responsible for him being imprisoned the way he was, after all (and there is no excuse for how terrible his prison was, like, he could have been imprisoned to pay for his crimes and still be treated as a person should, which he wasn’t).

As I said, there are plenty of things you can use to point out Tyrande was wrong in doing. She does a lot of shit tbh. But yeah, she never used his feelings for her, if anything she completely ignored them. Yes, she has a share of guilt in how he was imprisoned, her attitude towards him once she frees him is really shitty, and that she supports Malfurion exiling him after he literally sacrifices his soul to save them all is even worse, not to mention that after everything he does in Legion her reaction to his message isn’t any better.

There’s momentary confusion from the lot of them–each Illidari with brows pinched and confusion rife as felfire eyes near bore into the paper. Each one glanced, paused, and looked to the other before it came clear that none of them could actually read. Well, Baseerat could, but seemingly refused to, busy hands already finding work elsewhere that left him unaware to the groups awe and wonder. 

“Who’s…it from?”

“How the ‘ell we ‘posed ‘ta know? None ‘o us can even read it!”

“Smell…good.”

The chatter disperses from the three–Behail, At’am, and Blagden respectively, and each one has ears raised as another accented drawl cuts through their unknowing. 

“Stop y’er bellyaching! Give it ‘ere!”

Renwil barks, palm out flat and expectant to receive; it took a long moment of At’am’s sneer trained onto the Wyrmtongue’s face, but that letter is eventually handed over. Clawed fingers curl against the corners, and with a clear of throat, Renwil’s nose wrinkles and he begins to scan the paper. All the rest ‘stare’ in wait, and their oddly Kaldorei companion from the rafters swings down, hung from bat-like feet as his head comes to hang beside Renwil.

“Well? Answer the boys.”

E’rae coos, tongue poked out from between his teeth–though from Renwil, he receives a hand to the face to push him from his proximity, and the Illidari proudly, and with far too much excitement bellows,

“IT’S FROM OUR FUCKIN’ DAD.

I agree with best ending. No hard feelings towards the brothers and everyone would still be friends. (Plus, Jaina x Tyrande. Am I right?? ;D )

I can’t point out anything bad about this scenario tbh

   “I don’t know, Illidan. Is it wise to dwell on what could have been?” Silvery gaze averted from him, she falls silent for a moment after avoiding answer is promptly given. It is difficult to imagine how different things would have been, then; in all honesty, Tyrande is unsure his question is one she has an answer to. At some point in their youth, the priestess had known a choice would have to be made, inevitably hurting one of them (a dreadful thought that had bothered her from the very first time it occurred). She had no wish to hurt either of them, much less to choose only one to remain in her life —— both Malfurion and Illidan had been her dearest companions for ages, the two persons whom she most trusted and loved. It seemed to her a cruel thing to be forced into doing so; cruel to herself, and to the one of them that she could not choose.

   At which point her choice had been made, she doesn’t know clearly. Even looking back to it, it is difficult to tell; Tyrande knows this to have happened before Illidan had a chance of speaking of his feelings, however. Looking back to it now, it is easier to tell what her younger self failed to realize — sole reason she had, by then, wished to avoid him and said conversation, was because she was certain Illidan was not her choice. Unwilling as she was to push him away, her choice had already been made, even if she had not thought it so. 

   Where would a different choice have led them? Would it change his later choices? Would it have changed hers?

Yes, he is! Not... that it makes much difference when everyone is 2 feet taller than him by default, but it’s the thought that counts.
