HC: Sunburst by Lopoddity

“Oh please, you call this a date?  What’s next, you take Soul stargazing to smooch under the moonlight?  You’re reeaaal creative reaper.”

Kid scoffed angrily at the bluenette, moving his plate aside to daintily lean upon the table.  

“Oh, like YOU’RE any better?  What kind of person takes someone a date to the GYM!?  A complete ruffian that’s who!  All the sweat and soreness that comes afterward, not in the least bit romantic!” he snapped, lacing his fingers together. 

Black☆Star leaned back in his chair, taking a sip of his drink in defiance. 

“At least mine was different!  Besides, Soul LIKED that date to the gym!  He’s been trying to get into shape and I helped him pick out a good work set while we were there!  You’re just jealous that MY dates are unique, unlike your cliche, old-school dinner date.”

Kid’s eyes narrowed darkly, leaning forward in his seat. 

“Jealous?  Of YOU?!  Please, you’re not worth being jealous of!  I’m not sure what Soul sees in you, loud, boisterous, hotheaded types.  But I’m the kind of person who focuses on charm and class.  As Soul’s boyfriend, it’s my job to treat him with the utmost respect and charm,” he replied, folding his napkin gently. 

Black☆Star rolled his eyes, taking another sip of his soda before belching. 

“Oh please, I got PLENTY of class!  Now I’M not sure what Soul sees in stingy, stuck up, dramatic types like YOU, but as his boyfriend, I need to make sure he gets difference and fun, and plenty of respect!  You’re just mad that he had fun at our, ruffian date as you call it!” he snapped, placing his elbow on the table to lean forward. 

Kid curled his lip into a snarl, tossing the napkin aside. 

“I’m just shocked you can charm him at all, with your... what should I call it... assertiveness,” he waved his hand as if he touched something nasty, rousing an angry snort from the assassin. 

“What, you think I don’t have charm?  I bet I could charm your pretty little shoes RIGHT OFF!” he announced, pounding the table. 

Kid let out a savage grin, leaning on one of his hands. 

“Oh really?  Well, I bet every pair of shoes I’ve got that you can’t!” he replied.  

Black☆Star snickered, his own grin raising as he leaned on the table, pointing at himself with a thumb quite aggressively. 

“Really now?  Well what time works for you, I’ll show you how charming I can be!” 

Kid laughed, batting his eyelashes both playfully and mockingly. 

“Why can’t you sweep me off my feet right now?  To cocky?  Or are you chicken?!” he hissed, leaning forward. 

Black☆Star leaned forward as well, his own eyes narrowing. 

“Chicken?  Did you just call me CHICKEN!?  Why you little-huh?  Soul?  Watcha doin’ there hun?” 

The tense argument that had been rising between the assassin and the reaper had come to a screeching halt when Black☆Star’s attention was drawn to the third at the table. 

The albino was looking at a small blade he had formed on his index finger, swiping it softly in the air.  When he heard his name, he looked up slightly shocked. 

“Hm?  OH!  Sorry, it’s just... there’s just so much sexual tension in the air, I’m trying to see if I can physically cut it.  You know?” 

With the announcement, Kid and Black☆Star both became redder than the tablecloth while beginning to shout out defiances and arguments against it.  Soul rolled his eyes, looking down at his food. 

So much denial.  Why can’t the two just accept that they like each other?  They weren’t very good at hiding it, like how they weren’t very good at hiding that they like him.  He agreed to date them both, unable to say no to one or both of them, and now the last step was hooking them up as well.  

He was gonna do it too.  He was gonna make them a big, happy love herd even if it killed them dammit. 

Soul leaned forward playfully, batting his eyes and smiling suggestively at them. 

“Soooo... when’s your date?” 

I have to thank @lopoddityart for the inspiration for this one!  She has piece much like this and it made me want to write a similar one.  Giver her props alright?  This idea is NOT original! (sorry if this upsets you!)

But anyway, now that that’s out of the way, I hinted at this in my last piece for Kisses, that Kid and Black☆Star both fought for Soul’s affection when they realized they liked him.  Kid found himself attracted the Soul when he played the piano for the first time for them, and slowly began to see how wonderful a person he really was.  

Then enter Black☆Star, who decided he liked Soul more than a bro one day and decided to go for it.  Then begin the war for his affection and attention, which put the two in crazy, over the top acts that left the poor weapon more confused then charmed. 

But Soul ended up crushing on them both, and decided to accept both of their feelings as long as they agreed to suck in their pride and share. 

But then, of course, they competed on who could take him on the best dates, give him the best kisses, and end up falling for each other in the end.  Oh no~

Soul helps the two along, but he still finds their battle for him adorable sometimes~
