The Outer Space Jazz Series opens its doors next month to a miniature festival of new music curated by NYC’s Loop 2.4.3, and Hamden composer/presenter Istvan B'Racz. The bill includes the CT premiere of TommyTom’s Time-Machine (TTTMachine), featuring the “sublime” (Pitchfork Media) music of cross-over indie artist Thomas Kozumplik, and Sub-Verse, an edgy trio marrying electronic and acoustics sounds. Loop 2.4.3 will close out the event. Enjoy an intimate, casual concert atmosphere, with over 3 hours of new music, starting at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, at the Outer Space, 295 Treadwell St., Hamden, CT 06514.
An ongoing collaboration between NYC artists Loop 2.4.3 and Tom Burnett, with local CT musician Istvan B'Racz means that Hamden gets it's own new music marathon this September. The mini-Festival provides an intimate environment for audiences to glimpse the creative process, as the artists forge new ground. Keyboards, vocals, samples, and an array of percussion will be used to create lyrical songs, other-worldly soundscapes, and "stunning improvisation(s)." (Time Out Chicago).
Loop 2.4.3 and Istvan B'Racz present New and Improvised Music mini-Fest at the Outer Space Sunday, September 15, 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The Outer Space 295 Treadwell St. Hamden, CT 06514
