Anyways, these headcanons (idk if I should be calling them headcanons or yummy ideas for the author, but oh well) is a bit shorter than usual, but here you go anyways:
1. When abel was in middle school, he had a bit (a lot) of an emo phase up til the end of his sophomore year because of his complex feelings towards his dad. He definitely had said something like “It’s not a ‘phase’ DAD! It’s who I am!” to caine and he was soooo confused and was like “Son, I didn’t say it had to be a phase….” then explained that he was and still is friends with plenty of people in the alt community. Abel definitely cringes at this memory years later.
2. The reason is that caine once was in the goth community. If he had parents (and probably ages), it’s because he’s rebelling against them. If not, then he doing it for da funsies! :D
Ether way, I don’t think his brother cares tbh. Unless he does, then… uhhh… you’re the author.
3. Although, caine is pretty concerned about abel sneaking out and getting himself hurt potentially…. though his overprotective tendencies had softened during Abel’s teen years (thanks to kinger) he still has his moments unfortunately. Like one time, he accidentally interrupted his kid’s 2nd kiss (it was immediately after the 1st and they were going for another one) after franticly looking around the school when abel took a bit too long on his ‘after school project’ (he was hanging with his first gf).
3. Ragatha definitely got influenced by Abel’s emo phase and when through a brief one herself (ether because they are besties or because he was one of raggie’s first crushes OOOOOOO!!). Kinger is definitely supportive because he too went through a bit of a grunge or goth phase in his teens too (omg, imagine him, queenie, scratch, and caine all going to a concert! That would be so wholesome and hilarious if this is where caine and kinger first met lol!!)
4. I’d like to think caine and scratch go way back and scratch actually introduced caine to kinger and that’s why he babysits the kids sometimes. If we’re doing the concert thing, then imagine this: You’re at a loudass metal concert and you hear scratch trying his very best to introduce his friend kinger to his other friend caine whilst people are SCREAMING because one of the band members is like destroying their guitar and ripping their shirt like one of those werewolf images or something absolutely insane like that. They leave as soon as it gets too crazy.
5. The entire dentures family has audhd (autism+ADHD combo), so everyone in the family has adequate stim toys, dim rooms, and headphones. Dw, I have it too! So it’s audhd approved! :D👍
6. Toothpaste, teeth and eyeballs, and sun+moon+stars theming for the twins clothes? Abel just really likes his baggy sweaters and t-shirts and frequently borrows from his dad clothes since caine is a very short man. Whether he outgrew even his dad’s closet is up to you!
Also, I have some BURNING questions before I go: Does caine age in this AU (I’d imagine if he does, it’s very slowly)? If so, could he always age or was it after abel was made (Oooooo… ✨drama✨)? Does he have parents or is abel (his brother) the only family he had?

1 and 2 — loool I love that, I can totally see that happening XD Let’s just say the emo phase is basically an inevitable family tradition lmao (the twins would’ve gone thru it at some point too hehe)
3 — Ohhh yea things like this would deff happen all the time, despite how much he tries to give his kiddos space :’3 Caine is overall an overbearing parent, not in a manipulative or necessarily controlling way, he just constantly wants to make sure his kids are happy, satisfied and safe, kinda similar to canon Caine with the circus members
4 — Oooo I see the potential >:3
5 — lmaooo I love that scenario 😭😭 I’m still not sure how exactly Caine is connected to the main family in this au, but regardless, this idea could fs fit in!!
6 — Omg I love that XD I’m not autistic or have adhd and don’t have a ton of experience with either of them, so I’m hesitant to officially label any of the characters BUT I’m always open to hearing from those who are more familiar and potentially drawing out their ideas!! (Also I LOVE “the dentures family” last name maybe? 👀)
7 — YESS those would be perfect for the twins and your spot on with Abel too. He prefers baggy and more muted coloured clothes. And he defff outgrew Caine at some point, maybe even before he hit his teens XD
And your last headcanon from the other ask:
The twins are both amab but this is deff smt one or even both of them could figure out when they’re older!! I’ll leave that up to u to hc :3
And now for your questions!
Does Caine age in this au? That’s still something I’m figuring out, but for now I’ll say yes. It’s probably not going to be in the average way tho..
Caine’s family? He has both parents and his brother, but none of them are alive anymore….more on that when I develop the lore further :’D
